We've only been able to buy Disney pins from the Disney Stores for a few months here in the UK and they only have a fairly limited selection at the moment but the collection is growing.
Over the past week Disney UK have finally allowed Disney Store cast members to pin trade!
So yesterday I headed over to the Disney Store at Oxford Street to see what pins they had. Only one cast member about of about 20 had a lanyard but boy was she excited when I asked her if she would trade pins with me!
I traded a cinderalla pin for one of the limited edition easter pins. The CM then proceeded to tell all of her colleagues that she'd just traded her first pin which turned out to be the stores first trade too!
Several other CM's then asked me about pin trading. They didnt seem to know much about it and one was shocked when I told her that we had hundreds of pins - she was amazed when I pointed out that we only collected Disney pins, sh said she didn't know there were that many!
So anyway, if you are in the UK and miss your pin trading between trips to WDW then you can head over to your local Disney Store and get a quick fix. And the pins you can buy in store are reasonably priced too starting at just £3.
Another little tip for those in to the pin trading. If you want pick up an extra UK exclusive LE pin and take it with you on your next vacation to WDW the serious collectors that you find at DTD or Epcot will give you a good trade for 'our' pins!
