First Trip

Booked our first Trip yesterday - we are going for a week in Feburary!!!

We are telling our children Christmas morning - we have a 10 yr old son and a 5 year old daughter. I cant wait - Im 44 and have never been. Im not sure if I am more excited to tell them or to go- probably both!

I told my hubby untill Christmas I need to be excited for the three of us!
74 days and counting!!!!

What fun to surprise your kiddies on Christmas morning. What an awesome gift!

I can totally relate to the excitement. Our first trip is in January.....DH is 37, I'm 35, and our DS is 12 (will turn 13 at Disney!) and its been a looooonnnnnggg wait since we booked our trip in August.

Have a wonderful trip! And enjoy the next 74 days....half the fun is the anticipation, right?

That's a great gift! We did this a few years back for a trip in Jan. We bought them new backpacks w/ a character embroided on it. Then in one of the sides we put Disney YOAMD paper inside w/ dates of our trip-just dates. Our daughter figured it out quickly. Then later she said she wished we just surprised them by waking them up the morning we left. Too tough to keep it quiet for that long!!!! Have a great time!!!!

Congrats on booking your 1st trip! We are so excited too for our January Trip. I am almost 38 and have never been myself so we share a little something in common! How exciting to tell your kids on Christmas morning! How are you planning to break the news???

Congrats! Hope you all have a very magical time. Have you thought of any really cute ways to tell them ? I thought about doing this for our June trip but they found some of my notes lol. I had thought of t-shirts or something like that to wrap up and give as a gift.

We are going to wrap up a box for each of them with things for the trip. inside I am putting a string backpack I made for each of them ( a mickey on my son's and minnie on my daughter's), a disposable camera, I also made each one an autograph book - with their name and the dates of the trip on the inside cover. The kids collect the flatten pennies whenever we go on vacation - so I will put a little baggie with quaters and shinny pennies, I also ordered 7 pins each for them - so they can at least trade one a day. My son who is 10 - should be able to figure out immediately what is going on - and it will be just seconds later that our Daughter will know!

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside.
