We are taking our 33 month old triplet boys to Disney for the first time in March and wondered if anybody out there with twins or triplets that have done this, that have any tips or suggestions to share? We are going on an airplane for the first time too. Are we Crazy??? Yes, I think we are! We are staying with family in Orlando area, but the family won't be able to go to the parks with us. Are we allowed to take a insulated bag in with us and fill with their sippy cups, juice, water, snacks like crackers, fruit snacks? etc.? How do you keep them occuppied while standing in line? Any suggestions for the 2-1/2 hour plane ride? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

You can take the insulated bag into the parks with all those goodies. They will search it before you enter, but I don't think they will say anything.

As far as the plane ride.. Do you have a portable dvd player?? If not, I have heard of a service were you can rent them, but I don't have the website. Maybe someone else can help you with that. What about Disney coloring pages - you can print them from disney.com and also do a search on yahoo or google for free ones. How about travel size magnadoodles? Something else I have bought for my daughter that I am not sure how to explain. But they are small activity type coloring books that come with a special marker that is clear until you rub it over that page then the color comes out. Does that make sense? I know they have Disney ones.. And of course snacks!

Good luck to you and have a great time!

Our kids weren't much older than your's when we went on our first plane ride with them. We had 4 kids in 2-1/2 years, twin boys, single girl, single girl. There was so much going on in the plane that they didn't play with much. Also they got lots of attention from the flight attendants. The time on the flight seemed to fly (no pun intended). Just go with the flow and enjoy all of the time you have with them. Ours are grown now! :guilty: But we sure enjoy our time with the grandbabies!

33 month??? Doesn't that equate to 3 years old almost.  33months...I don't think I've heard that before. :)

We started taking our twin daughters when they were 1 1/2. They are now 4 and it's been great. We always take some juice and snacks in an insulated bag. I usually give them there snacks while they are standing in line so that helps. (I do peanut free because you never know who you might be next to - don't want to ruin someone else's trip!) We also use fastpass to cut down on standing in line as much as possible. We also either leave for an afternoon nap/rest or at least a character lunch or sit down service lunch in the middle of the day to slow everybody down. The girls love going and we really haven't had any problems. We always rent a double stroller so they can sit when they are tired and we can actually get someplace in less than an hour. You will have a great time!!

We had three kids in about 2 years. We took them all when the older guy was not quite 4 and the twins were 20 months. We always bring in a few snacks for them to eat in line. We also bring some pipe cleaners, small PVC characters, stretchy animals, etc for them to play with in line. Definitely take advantage of Fastpass where you can. Plan, but don't overplan. Take your cues from the kids, relax, and have a blast.

Well, I can't really talk about triplets, but I have three kids 6,5,and4. (they are each a year apart). We took our first plane ride with them last year. I had a bag of crayons, markers, and paper. I also brought some snacks for the plane...in case they didn't want plane food. I also brought drinks for them for take off, so their ears wouldn't pop. If you are flying using either Song or JetBlue, they have tvs in the seats which are awesome!!! If not, Find out if a movie is offered, and if it is suitable for kids. Are you bringing a stroller, or a few strollers?? If you are, you can check them at the gate, rather than with your bags. This will enable you to use them in the airport.

You can bring a bag of stuff for the kids to the parks...I don't think they officially allow outside food, but if it is obviously for the kids, I doubt they will say anything.

Depending on when you go, you might consider dressing them in the same color....easier to spot them in a crowd!!

I would say that you'll have to be more organized than a typical WDW goer...but you should be fine. I was worried about waiting in long lines with my kids, but most of the queues have enough to look at to keep the kids happy!

GOod luck and have fun on your trip! :earboy2:

I think I used 33 months because they aren't quite 3 yet, and still get in free to Disney for 3 more months, I had just discussed that with someone and was on the brain for 33 months.

A quick Thank you for everybody that responded with some helpful hints! And we will take it easy and go with the flow! Go on their schedule and not ours, and try to enjoy the time with them. It can't go that bad, and theres always another trip down the road! My middle son, is already telling me he wants to go see Mickey, but not in an airplane, NO! just in a car! The other two are just excited about going. There is always one!

I hear people still use their child's age in months even up to 48 months. Please don't feel bad for posting that they will be 33 months - I see nothing wrong w/saying your triplets are 33 months. I hear that all the time. Have a wonderful trip!

Hi there! Our triplets are 5(bbg) and we have a 7 yr old DD. We are also going in Mar. (12-18th) I don't have any good advice because I have never taken them to DW. However, they are 5! Good luck. If I learn anything magical I will let you know. :grouphug:

I've seen parents bring small bottles of bubbles to entertain the kids in line. Also the snacks are a good idea just remember that some attractions don't allow food so plan small snacks or things that can be repacked quickly.
Pixie dust for a great trip.
Another quick thought is to buy "disney" souveniers at your local walmart and bring them for less expensive surprises. Buying 3 of everything will add up!
