We are scheduled to arrive at MCO at 9:30am on 10/31 so we expect to be at Kidani Village by 11am. This is our first stay there. We have a 2bdrm savanna view room for 8 nights. Any advice on what not to miss? Looking for Halloween activities for the grand kids (6 & 2) that day. TIA

We love AKV and Kidani village, we have stayed their 3 times. As for Halloween activities, we have always done Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, but since you are arriving on the 31st, I believe that is the last night they do it, and it is most likely sold out.

The resort should have a list of activities (as mentioned above). The staff are great at AKV, I am sure they will have plenty of things for the kids to do. I do remember that in the evening they do a little show with the kids with african instruments and they just parade around the lobby. They also have the staff talk about the history of Africa, or speak about the area they are from in a room just off the main lobby in Kidani.

Enjoy, it is a great resort.

We own at kidani and it is the only place we stay now. Love it. Take time to do all the bead activities. My three loved it. They learned about Africa and collected beads. Great free souvenir. Cookie decorating at Boma is lots of fun each afternoon. The pool and splash pad are great. My kids love borrowing movies from the gift shop and having an in room movie night. Drum Cafe in the lounge off the lobby is lots of fun.

It really is s unique resort. On our last stay in March we didn't even go into the parks and still, we didn't get to everything.

Oh, the campfire and community Hall are fun.

Thanks for the info. We hadn't gotten the email yet with the activities. Maybe my son got it as the 1st 2 nights are on his points. Can't wait. We also heard that there was trick or treat at the Boardwalk?
