My boyfriend wants to plan a trip to Hilton Head this may, and considering the amount of "arm-twisting" it took to convince him to do a Disney trip this fall its only fair that I agree. He's told me a lot about his previous trips- great place to relax, great beaches, golfing, ect.. But thats kinda my problem. I don't golf, have a terrible fear of water so I don't swim nor will I get on a boat, hate beaches (the sand is just gross), and never lay out in the sun. -Yes I know! I don't sound like much fun. Can anyone that has been there tell me of a few things to do. I really don't want to be stuck inside the hotel while my bf swims, or sails. Honestly I would love to find things we could do together. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

How about bike riding? There are wonderful bike paths all around the island.

Also, the resort has a lot of activities. My dd and I did the scrapbooking class (they have a ton of fun items you can use on your pages), the whole family played Disney Charades, also did the campfire sing along and s'mores. There are probably more adult activities, we were there for just two days.

Also, you can go horseback riding in Sea Pines Plantation.

Make a tour of all the ice cream places!!! :)

Finally, lots of places to shop, including 2 outlet malls.

Phew... I was going to try to help earlier, but all I could come up with was biking and mini golf.

I think you should shop and tour around while he is swimming/sailing/golfing. Then both of you plan for some quality romantic encounters in your room. Something new, different, exciting. pirate: ::cop: :firefight princess:

Good luck. :thumbsup2

If you are talking about this May, you're likely to have a tough time getting a reservation. HHI is a very small resort with limited studios, and lots of schools around the area get out mid-May.

As for things to do - the resort itself is on a marsh - so you're not on a bunch of open water. There's tons and tons of shopping in HH - everything from boutiques, to strips of specialty shops, to an enormous outlet complex. There's a mall and movie theater very close to the resort, as well as a Barnes and Noble and etc. You've got numerous dining options. At the beach house, you are still removed from the beach and sand, and there is a bar and a very nice, air-conditioned lounging room with TV and, I believe, WIFI internet access.
