Okay - I see that there are many wonderful reports about Disney trips in this section. I felt compelled to tell you about mine. So not to bore you all, i will give you an abbreviated story. i have been back 1 week (went 2-27-05 to 3-5-05) and miss Disney something TERRIBLE.
2-27-05 flew from Milwaukee WI - and arrive in Orlando at 11:10 in a rain storm. SO okay, because I fell in love with Florida from the minute we hit ground. Are drive from Tiffany Towncar (Paul) was WONDERFUL. I will definitely go through them the next time. We checked in at POR and got room 1620 in Alligator Bayou. The room (and resort) exceeded my expectations. I will most certainly want to stay at POR again. We went to MGM and ate at Hollywood and Vine and saw Fantasmic. Meal was okay. Fantasmic was GREAT.
2-28-05 - Magic Kingdom - (one of my favorite parks) Lunch at Cosmic Rays (AWESOME FOOD). Love fast pass and fact that we really didn't wait all that long for rides
3-1-05 - EPCOT (princess breakfast - LOVED IT.. Well worth the money we spent on it. All the princesses were there and each came to our table separately. Even my 10 year old son was a trooper getting his pictures taken with the princesses. My RECOMMENDATION - breakfast before the park opens. We didn't wait for a table at all... When we left breakfast the line was pretty long to get in!!! THE FOOD WAS GREAT!!!! WHAT ARE THE POTATOES??? Excellent. Magic Kingdom again in afternoon. Didn't really see much of the world at Epcot!!! DH and DK's didn't have desire... TEST TRACK at Epcot was great. One of kid's fav rides. (Splash mountain was a FAVORITE too at MK)
3-2-05 - Animal Kingdom - Loved the bugs life and the safari!!! Enjoyed the raft ride, but the weather was a bit cool to REALLY enjoy as I was in the unlucky seat.... Ate lunch at the Rainforest.
3-3-05 - Rainy day - Shopped at Downtown Disney - Disneyquest and lunch at Planet Hollywood. Liked Disneyquest, but hard to play games when kids were on the games and wouldn't take turns. Where where their parents. Let us be polite and share. When to MGM again in afternoon. Went on the Great Movie Ride (5 year old loved it) - Supper at French Quarter. I nice change to supper at POR (3 times earlier)
3-4-05 - Toured DVC - didn't buy in, but still doing research on it. Atlanta Braves vs LA Dodger at Cracker Jack Stadium!!!!! GREAT!!!! 10 year olds highlight. Would recommend to all. Sunburned!!!! Back to Epcot to ride Test Track again. Went to Beaches and Cream for Supper!!! HAd the Kitchen Sink for dessert. Couldn't finish it!!!! WAS GREAT!!1
3-5-05 Going home - Went to Blizzard Beach to swim in AM. Too cold. Ended up going back to POR to swim at Old mans island. Water was like bath water. Loved it. At 4:30 Paul picked us up and took us back to MCO. Flew home.

I wanted to give a THANK YOU to the mousekeeping staff of POR. Our mousekeeper was GREAT!!!!! Every night after a long day, we would look forward to what she had done to our room that day. She was great. I had a opportunity to meet her and thank her. She made a HUGE impact on the MAGIC of Disney for us and we are very greatful for this.

It makes me sad to think that it is over. I can't wait to go back.

Thanks for listening.

Sounds like you had a great trip. THanks for sharing, o.k. my 3 teen ds are probably some of those game hogs at disney quest. I really dont think they do it intentionally because I just think they get obsessed with a game, or beating a score etc. so they just stay there for a long, long time. I have observed this too in reverse, when they wanted some game it was not available to them too. They just usually give up and find something else etc. Glad you enjoyed your trip.

:earsboy: That is what we did too. Pretty much told him to move on and find another game that the kids would switch better at. I understand how they can get obsessed. BUT I actually had a mother with her young child (the young child sat idol at a game) while she played a game over and over again as my ten year old stood and waited.

I have taught my kids that if you have someone waiting let them have a turn and if nothing else the two of you can switch back and forth. It is hard to see my kids not being treated the same as they would treat someone else. I know, not everyone has the same perspective, but would be nice if we could all take our turns and not be so selfish.

Mind you, this was a minor part of the trip. I would go back to Disneyquest again. Just had to voice my feelings. :earsboy:
