My husband and I are taking our two children, age 6 and 11 to Disney World for the first time. Planning to go in late August after camps are done for 6 nights/7 days. Have been looking at properties outside the Maingate due to budget constrictions. Has anyone stayed at the Quality Suites? on Irlo Bronson Highway? Any other suggestions or ideas. Looking for a great pool, and breakfast included would be great. We thought a suite set up would be the best, but doesn't have to be. Thanks!

Have you checked out the Fairy Tale Package - maybe at the All Star resorts? You pay rack rate for four nights and get two or three for free, plus they add the Ultimate Park Hopper tickets. Then you can stay on site and get an even better first trip. Call 1-407 WDISNEY to find out what it will cost you. You might be surprised. It's just so much better staying on site for the first trip.

I agree with the above post. If you really can't swing it, I would suggest Country Inn and Suites at Calypso cay. Valuetrips.com usually has very good rates for this property. Add everything up separately and see how you come out. the Value resorts at WDW are really cute and convenient. They have everything you need! You wouldn't have to pay for parking at the parks and a car isn't necessary. I believe that 8/23 starts the value season, so the price for the package is less. Go to disneyworld.com , go to the fairytale package, put in your info and see what you get.

Another thought is renting a timeshare from someone..lots of room and you can make your own breakfast to cut $$$

I agree first time is a must onsite...that fairytale package is a great deal but I think that you have to book by June 30 not sure...a moderate hotel would be great...

are you renting a car!!!

are all of your days going to be at WDW?

If you are WDW Veterans you know the best places to stay offered in the FairyTale PROMO Seven nights/ four.
If you are a first timer, I hope you will take a week off when you get home!!! Just kidding!!!
You will need a day in the middle of your stay for down time at the pool and evaluate your laundry.
So the question is the number days of your passes and who wants to see what.
I suggest you itemize your cost for passes, car rental, and food.
Then figure your hotel prefference for rooms only and call WDW reservations on rates for rooms only, your tavel agent and any link offered on this site for a discount on the WDW rooms.
Then call WDW res and ask about the 4/7 FairyTale offer and compare.
If you feel this is a once in Ten Years Vacation then your credit card company will let you pay off the bill, and if your c/c company offers a 1 % cash back book a package and figure that amount into your budget.
My travel club offers 5% rebate and I get 1% back with my C/C
company.
Lastly, if you are spreadsheet savy fill in the data and make your decision based on Heart, Health, and Pocket Book!
ENJOY!

THE MAGIC HAPPENS!!!
