Hello! Well, I finally talked DH into going to WDW once more for our DD who is 3 and has never been. He is NOT looking forward to going as he is stressed about the $$ and possible crowds. We went the second week of Sept. in 99 and had no problems w/crowds (of course we did have hurricane Floyd). Is this still considered one of the less crowded times? Would there be a better week to go? Thanks in advance. I haven't needed to plan a WDW trip in a while, so I feel like I am out of the loop! :)

September is probably THE least crowded month of the year at WDW. As long as you keep in mind the havoc the weather can cause, you should have a great time. It sounds like you have some hurricane experience!!! :umbrella:

I went last year in September (9th to 15th), and hope to go the same time this year too! :thumbsup2

The crowds were not bad at all, it was just hot. But I'd rather deal with the heat insted of the crowds. The link below is from my September trip, so take a peek!

We went last September, and it was SO uncrowded, but hot. I agree with the previous poster...I would rather deal with the heat than crowds. You'll have a great time! :cool1:

Thanks everybody! I haven't been on these boards in so long, I wasn't sure if things had changed since the last time we were there. I am so excited and I think the kids will have a great time, BUT in our house...if daddy isn't happy, NO ONE is happy!!! I want to do everything possible to make this trip fun for all of us! Thanks again. You may see me later with more questions. I tend to obsess over these trips! :) Thanks again!

Leave Daddy home! :rotfl: He'll save money, and will not ruin your good time!

I went from Sept 15-22 2005. It was hot but there were next to no crowds. I think the longest line I waited on was 20 minutes and it was for Living With The Land and IASW. Most rides had no lines at all. I walked onto Maelstrom, Buzzlightyear, Space Mountain, ToT, RNR and many more. September is probably one of the best times go to. I'm with others, I'd rather deal with the heat than the crowds. The morning EMH wasn't bad. I mostly used it for MK and AK. I did one evening EMH in MK and honostly it wasn't that bad considering the horror stories I have heard. I waiting on a little line for Splash Mountain but it was really cool going over the drop and seeing everything lit up for the night.

Actually I had planned on using all the EMH's. But the crowds were so low that there was no need for them. All of the big rides had small lines. (Other than the safari, that had a line usually so I used the morning EMH to avoid it.) Go in Sept (just don't tell too many people about this little secret ;) ). Drink lots of water, take it easy, and have fun! :goodvibes

Ha BYC! I have already thought of that, but think I may need him along for moral support as I will have three kids in tow! I am thinking perhaps I will need to keep him well hydrated with some sort of alcoholic beverage (ha!) and maybe that will do the trick! Or maybe I will do the drinking and then I won't notice if he is being a turd! We are going to have fun, darn it!!!

Thanks again...September is sounding better!

I'm thinking the same for my DH! Unfortunately, the craziest park (MK) doesn't have alcoholic beverages! I'm have been obsessing for about 8 months now to make sure this as stress-free as possible - and I'm already quietly bringing up the option of another one! With the help of these boards, and a great hotel rate, I'm coming in under budget!
Good Luck and have fun with your planning!
