first trip in 10years

we have not been back to DL in 10 years,we have been to WDW 5 times In those 10 years and we thought we give DL look see after all these years,What have they updated?,anything new? what do they have that WDW has. We plan on going during my DS spring break(march the 29th to the 2 of April) do they close anything during this time? Is It better to go during the Summer months In that regard,say late june or July? we do not want to take the chance In missing something.

A LOT has changed in 10 years....including adding a 2nd park!!!
IN DL: The submarine ride is now Nemo themed. Swiss Family Treehouse is now Tarzan's Treehouse. They've added disney characters to IASW. POTC now includes Jack Sparrow and a few other POTC movie characters.

As to what you will be "missing" the week before Easter:
**Fantasmic! (water & pyrotechnic show on Rivers of America) may be closed. ROA will be drained the beginning of the year and I'm not sure when it will be refilled.
**The new World of Color show in DCA will not be open until the end of April.
**Not sure about closures during that time yet...

As far as would I wait until summer to see both of these....yes. Plus I think summer is a little less crazy than peak Spring Break time (week before and after Easter).

Here are some more DL changes to add to her list:

o Space Mtn completely redone - it was down for 2 1/2 years and is much better now
o Tom Sawyer Island has been transformed into Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island
o HM has had some changes
o Buzz LY added (similar to MK but a little better IMO)

And all of DCA was added. Things to catch there that differ from WDW are:

o California Screamin
o Soarin Over California (same ride as Epcot but better theming)
o Monsters Inc
o Aladdin Show (better than any stage show at WDW)
o Animation Studios
o Grizzly River Run (better than Kali RR)

March 2010 will have more downsides than most March trips as 3Minnies aptly described. If it was me and I had the chance to wait for July I would.

Thanks all,ya I was leaning torads July my self now that I think about It.When we last went It was during spring break and HM and the matterhorn where both down for referb so I do not want to miss that.
