Just got back from our first stay as DVC members; stayed in a studio at the BCV for 12 nights. We own at SSR, but wanted to try BCV while our son is still young enough to want to enjoy the SAB pool with us. What a great pool, we spent a lot of time there.
We fell in love with BC! I can see why you owners love it so much. The whole atmosphere, the beauty of the grounds, the friendliness of the staff, it was an awesome stay.
We were in room 476 overlooking the canal. We checked in at 11 a.m. and our room was ready. Everything was clean and in working order. Shower pressure was fine too. I thought I would hate not having housekeeping service with clean towels, but found it was very nice not to be disturbed by housekeeping everyday. We tend to sleep in on vacation and they can knock awfully early. Taking out the trash and washing towels once in a while was no big deal. I did notice when we had full cleaning or Trash/Towel day, they left our trash outside the door and it was picked up later by other staff members. So maybe all the trash left in hallways isn't left by guests too lazy to go to the trash room?
Parks were packed and it was typical Floriday June weather; hot days and rain in the late afternoon and evenings. But with a nice long stay, we were able to make short jaunts to the parks, fast pass around, and then come back to the resort and relax. Pretty much saw what we wanted and never waited in any long lines.
We are going back for spring break next April and were going to stay at SSR, but my DH and DS want to go back to BC. I think we are going to have to buy a resale at BCV soon.
I've read and benefitted from so many reports here, so if I can return the favor, feel free to ask any questions.
