Hello Everyone,
We just got back from a trip to Beach Club Villas with my in-laws which was our first time using our DVC membership.
We checked in a day late due to Frances, and when I told the woman at the counter we were checking in she clapped her hands and shouted "Yeah!"
You could definitely tell the people who had been stuck there due to the hurricane. They were not happy people. I saw one boy snap at his parents, "There's nothing to do here!" I really felt bad for everyone who weathered the storm.
First off, Stormalong Bay is everything they say it is and more! I have 4 kids, ages 13 months to 9 years and there was something there for everyone. It has a little beach and a small slide and a huge slide and a whirlpool and tubes to make you think you're on a lazy river. It's really fantastic.
My tip for parents who use the portable crib: Set it up in the closet. We've done this at Beach Club Villas and also when we were guests at Wilderness Lodge Villas. The crib fits perfectly in the large closet and keeps things quiet and dark for the little one.
The Epcot Kidcot stations were a big hit with the middle two kids. We had never taken them to Epcot before and they really had a good time. They made cookies in the Land Pavillion with the Junior Chefs program and loved it.
I'll try and write more later. Time to make lunch!
Susan
