Well came back from a long weekend at the World to see the Doodlebops and just wanted to say I feel very validated in my DVC decisions.
First, I am soooooo glad DH and I went DVC. It is the right choice for our little family and will be the foundation for many magical dreams and memories for years to come. Thank you Hubby!
Second, I am glad we decided to go ahead and purchase SSR. The 12 years were important at the time and more so now. And I actually love the resort. I did not ask or request anything special except non smoking and got a lovely studio in the first building of Congress Park as you come off the bridge. Wonderful view of DTD and the lagoon with boats and ducks floating by. Having my coffee in the morning with that view was pure heaven.
I love the offerings of bingo and crafts, the most beautiful and fun pools, the architecture and the entire "resort" feel (I almost forgot I was at WDW w/ theme parks and not at some luxury resort on an island and that is a huge deal since I am a park commando). Even the food offerings were awesome. Love the Beef and Blue sandwich.
Only issue I had was the slowness of buses especially for a park that had a EMH that morning. But overall it was a very magical time and again I felt very validated in my decisions.
Can't wait til January now and try BWV where I had my DVC tour back in 1999.
