Hi All!
Just arrived home Sunday, Nov. 2nd from our first trip home to BWV and our first at any Epcot area resort. And we loved it!!!
We were in room 5014 overlooking the canal, Swan and MGM in the distance. It was a very quiet location.
The room was in good order with the exception of the two bathroom faucets. One had a slow drip that created a puddle under the vanity and the other had a slow drain. We didn't really realize the problem until after we had been there a day. I had put a few things under the vanity that got a little wet but luckily it was such a small drip that none of the things were damaged. Anyway when we notified maintenace they were there in honestly two minutes! They must have been on the floor already but DH and I were impressed how fast they came!
They fixed the one sink right then and had to get a part for the other, but by the time we came back from the parks it was also fixed. A+ to the maintenace staff!
We really now see why so many people love the Epcot area resorts. We just loved the convenience of being able to walk or boat to Epcot and MGM plus all the restaurant choices you have so close to home. We usually walked over to Epcot or MGM and took the boat back. We took the bus to AK twice and it was only about a five minute wait each way. We quickly learned to get off at the Swan bus stop instead of making the full loop around the lake. We drove to MK b/c DD loves to take the monorail and tram plus for crowded events like MNSSHP I didn't want to depend on the buses.
Also while there we found out 3yo DD does not like CLOWNS!!!!!! I had shown DD pictures of the resort including the clown pool before we left and she never had a reaction to it in the pictures but seeing that clown up close was different!!! DD loves to swim and went right in the big pool in DH's arms. He was swimming her all around but as they entered the portion of the pool by the clown slide DD suddenly gave a loud high pitched piercing scream. When DH asked what was wrong, DD said while poiniting at the clown, "NO CLOWN, NO CLOWN!" Several people in the pool including the lifeguards were chuckling along with DH and I. I'm glad the clown did not deter her from swimming, we just couldn't go near that end.
We attended the Boardwalk Halloween party on the 31st. It was alot of fun. DD enjoyed the arts and crafts activities for the little ones especially plus the trick or treating. We also got our picture with Mickey dressed as a ghost. He was so cute!
While there we also did MNSSHP, HDDR, Cindy's breakfast, Cape May breakfast and the Food & Wine Festival. It was all very excellent. If anybody was at HDDR on the 28th at 5:00 pm we were the table from DE and my FIL George was Polly's "toot, toot" man!!!! We kidded him about that for the rest of the trip.
We were all sad to leave and DD even cried that she wanted to stay. The only thing that kept me from crying was that I knew we'd be back in 90 days!!!!!!! We're booked for a standard view BWV one bedroom Feb. 1st - yahoooooooooooooo!!!!!
Any questions, feel free to ask!
