I need some help deciding what time of year to visit! My friend and I have worked and visited WDW several times but have never been to DL. We want to visit early 2016, late January-April. I know to avoid spring break but I was wondering if there was any super slow periods or fun events that happen that time of year. I'm also open to any planning tips or favorite rides/restaurants! Thanks guys!

Crowds will be lower in January, but there will also be more rides closed for refurbishment. For instance, Haunted Mansion and IASW will be closed for a short time to have their holiday overlays removed. Also keep in mind that the railroad and Rivers of America attractions will be closed throughout 2016, for Star Wars Land construction.

I have been in mid-April and I found that a good time to go. The refurbishments were starting to end in preparation for the summer season, but it was not yet too crowded. I would check out HydroGuy's 2016 Calendar of Events & School Breaks and DLR thread for details about events you may want to avoid (or participate in!).

well being that it looks like you are flexible in purchasing travel, room rates....then watch the weather channel and avoid El Nino events, find that week with sunshine. I don't think spring break will be a problem in 2016, everyone saving their money for Star Wars and with ROA down, that could be the reason that 2016 is great anytime of the year.

The biggest tip is that Disneyland has the greatest advantage in the early morning and late evening
