First trip during the busy season!

We always travel during the slow season but this year we will be at the world April 5-12th. Easter is early this year and most spring breaks seem to be in March or late April. We will be staying at the Sheraton Vistana resort. Does anyone have any advise to help us with the crowds.

The standard answers are to go to the park that had early entry the day before

Get to whatever park your going to before it opens that morning.

Go to the library an get a copy of the unofficial guide.

Get to the parks for opening. Meaning get there before opening. Use fastpasses. Know what rides/attractions are important to your family and plan ahead.

Follow a touring plan - there are some in the guide books. We used Tour Guide Mike (sponsor of one of these forums) over Easter last year. Did the best of the best and was out of the parks early afternoon as it got too busy and with too long a line. Back to the home and the pool.

Oops nearly forgot - get ADR's for early lunch. Over Easter last year I phoned up the night before for ADRs for a group of 14. We got either our choice of restaurant or a reasonable one that way. We were not deciding on a park until a couple of days prior to be flexible for our whole group which is why we only reserved our ADRs the night before. Do not wait until you are in the park - wastes precious time. Plan to have lunch early (11am or 11.30am) we were hungry by that time and in need of a sit down in the cool air! Park were opening at 8am so we were up at 6am or 7 am to get to the parks in plenty of time (you can imagine, getting 14 people up, dressed, fed and out to the parks is a feat in itself.

Pre plan any character meals you want. Those you will probably not get the night before (but it is always worth checking - cancellations do happen).

The booking window for 180 day ADRs has already opened for April 08

MGM - get fantasmic dinner package. Again - one that I would pre-book in plenty of time.
