Been lurking here for awhile and finally got vacation days approved - will be coming down in less than 1 month so planning is in fever-ish pace.
Will be reading the forums alot the next few days but here is what I have in mind so far...so if anyone has anything to add with hints/suggestions, I'm all ears.
Looking to come down either on Dec 11 or 12 and staying until Dec 17. Right now planning to rent a car and hopefully the under 25 surcharge is waived (it has happened in the past when we were in California) and tentatively found a Travelzoo code to stay at World Quest Resort.
Day 1 - Arriving around 1, so by the time we get settled it'll be 2pm, so probably just spend the day/evening around downtown Disney
Day 2/3 (if we arrive on the 11, we'll push day 4/5 back and spend 3 days at WDW) - Disney - we don't really have a preference which park we'll go to but we'll stick to 1 park/day
Day 4 - Drive out to Lego Land
Day 5 - Universal Studios
Day 6 - Late flight home so probably do a bit of shopping at the Premium Outlets before flight home
I know there isn't nearly enough days to do everything, it's just more of an excuse to make a future return trip
Right now next step is getting a list of good restaurants (inside and outside of WDW), along with finalizing hotel.
I know I will have ALOT of information to read/sort through but this is one of the parts of a trip (other than the trip itself) IMO.
