First Trip Buttons

I've read somewhere on the dis about children going to guest relations to get a FIRST TRIP Button. We leave in 10 days for our first trip ever to Disney and would like to know if this is true. If anyone knows of this please help me. PM's are welcomed.

I would like to know this too for our DD6mo. we leave in 22 days. I saw one listed for sale on ebay and it peaked my curiosity.

Yes it's true. Just go to Guest Relations in any park (City Hall in the Magic Kingdom) and ask for a first time visitor button.

Yes, and it is not just for children. We had a 55 year old woman in our group who was experiencing her first visit. She got lots of attention from the CM's because she had never experienced the magic before!

Yup just go to guest relations and ask for one... children or adults doesn't matter... they also used to have a birthday button... but not sure if that still happens (I haven't asked for it in awhile )

Thanks for all the replies, do they charge for this button. DS9 and myself are first timers, DH went twice as a child. We would love to get a first time button for a keepsake.

Yep, the 'first trip' buttons are sitting there right next to the 'today is my birthday' buttons and the 'I'm celebrating my birthday' buttons at all guest services. Saw them multiple times a few weeks ago.

If you are staying at a resort, you can also get them at the front desk. My DH got one for our DS4 prior to heading to Epcot on our first day. I'm surprised he didn't get one for himself since this was his first time too. Although he did ask me if I wanted one, but I said to him why, it's my fourth time at Disney.

No charge. They are given out for free.

Thanks cybrkitn, that was my next question. I'll ask about it when we check in. Boy this is really gonna be a trip we will never forget. I also ordered a welcome basket to be delivered to the resort for DS9 from Mickey. I cannot wait to see his face. Thanks again to everyone!!!
