:yay: I am so excited. My husband just called and we are going to Disney next month!! We are using our developer points and will be leaving the weekend our boys are out of school for the summer. We will be staying in a 2BR at SSR May 25th to May 31st. It will be a big surprise for them since they think our next trip down won't be until Christmas.
I also had a quick question. We will be ordering annual passes online and I thought I read somewhere that we could pickup them up at DTD. Where in DTD would that be?

Guest Services at DTD is connected to Team Mickey. There is also a location on the West Side.

Congratulations and enjoy your first trip home! We were at SSR last October and loved it. We have another long weekend planned for Columbus Day weekend and can't wait to go back.

You can also by your annual passes at the gate. We bought ours this year at the back gate of EPCOT after we checked into BWV. Don't forget your DVC member card so you can get the discount. It makes it cheaper than a ten day park hopper

Oh- I'm just going to miss you!! My first DVC stay is June 1-4 at SSR!!! Mine was booked last minute, too- Great job by your DH!!!:thumbsup2

Congratulations pridwynn!! SSR is so wonderful, I hope you have a great trip! That seems like a great week to go there too, before most of the schools get out (like ours). Lucky you! :)

I'm curious as to why you're buying the AP's online as opposed to just buying them there-since you'd have to go to Guest Relations and pick them up anyway?

I'm wondering because I need to buy our new AP's for our early June trip, and I'm trying to decide how to go about it... In the past I bought them online, got the vouchers mailed to me, then traded them in/activated them on the first day of the trip. (I did that because I bought them the night before a price increase.) But now I'm thinking I might as well just wait and do the whole thing in one transaction. We will probably get the DDE again too, and I read on here that you can do that at the same time also.

The only reason I can think of that this isn't a good plan is if one wants to beat a price increase. (I haven't heard any rumors of a price increase yet though.) But maybe I'm not thinking of something?

We were going to wait to buy the AP's but we decided to go ahead and get them now online. My DH called to get our ADR's for the trip this morning also and the castmember had mentioned something about tickets and asked if he had gotten them yet. He told her no and she told him that they have gotten an email about the prices going up on the tickets. He asked her when they would go up but she didn't say too much else about it. Not sure how reliable that info is but since we are able to pay for them now we will just do it online at the current prices.

Oh ok, yeah sounds like you did the right thing. And maybe I should go ahead and buy ours too... I would hate to wait only a few more weeks and pay more should a price increase occur. Thanks!

Most florida schools will be out that week. I did that exact week (memorial day) in 2006 and the parks where VERY crowded. We ended up spending more time at the pool than anywhere else that trip.

We went right after our boys got out of school last year and it didn't seem too bad. But if it's really crowded we'll just do what we can and do the things we miss when we go back for our December trip. We are pretty flexible during our Disney trips.

Hi- I am taking my grandchildren to AKL on May 17 as a first timer. Just wondering and a little nervous about them having the time of their lives:confused: I have heard wonderful things about the DVC and after reading all the threads ( you people are great) I am getting a little better about it. We are staying in the Savana view 2 bedroom L/O. Should I know anything before hand or just go with the flow. :goodvibes
