We will be staying at Ft. Wilderness in a cabin in May. We are on the QSDDP. What are our options there? Is there somewhere there we can use our counter service credits?

Really not much to offer at the Fort for counter service,,snacks at the stores and burgers at the pool.

Some of our favorite counter service to eat are at
the Pepper Market at the Coronado Springs ,,,,

Cookes of Dublin at DTD,,,

Earl of Sandwich at DTD,,,

Wolf Gang Puck Express at DTD,,,

and the counter service at the Port Orleans (better food offerings after 5:PM),,,

the counter service at the Caribbean Beach (better food offerings after 5:PM),,,

A relatively convenient counter option to the Fort is Roaring Forks at WL. My wife really likes the salad and sandwich options there, and my kids like the burgers, chicken and pizza. I go for the burgers. :thumbsup2

Getting there is pretty easy too. We ride our bikes on the trail, but if you don't have bikes you can take the boat launch or the bus...either way is a direct connection.

Another good counter is Roaring Fork at the WL. The sandwiches and salads are made to order. The roast beef bleu is really good.

When we are scooting around DIS, we always make a stop at the Yacht & Beach Club.
Don't miss Beaches & Cream.
50's theme with a jukebox etc, kinda malt shop, milk shake, sundaes. but monster burgers, french fries----good stuff (counter service).

I was just wondering about the days that we just decided to stick around the fort. If there would be an option of any kind there to use our cs credits. I read somewhere about a take out chicken dinner is that possible on the QSDP? What about pizza? Hamburgers are fine with us. I was just worried we would have to travel to another resort to eat. I really want this to be a laid back vacation. That is why I wanted the cabins at the Fort so badly. :goodvibes

Chicken and pizza,,,no.

The Fort is the greatest place to stay at Disney,, BUT, the counter service dining sucks,,if you want decent food you'll hatta leave the Fort or eat burgers or bring your own food and cook.
