Hi.

My mom and I will be at GFVs, 2 bedroom, for 9 nights, September 5-14.
My bff and her mom will join us, they were at Disney once a hundred years ago.
As always, we will be getting food/alcohol delivered to our room for the week.

They will arrive on Friday morning (my mom and I arrive Thursday, they should land approx. 9:00 am) and go home Monday morning.

My friend will be working Thursday night and getting up very early on Friday morning (if she can even get a couple of hours sleep) so we are not doing a park day on Friday. My mom is in her 70s and the other is 80, both active, although they both will have scooters delivered to the GFVs.

Both moms get up early so we will do RD at MK, the EEMH.

We will have two full park days. MK and Epcot, no hoppers.

This is what I have planned for them, please let me know what you think:

Friday, September 6
Friends arrive.
*They will get to GF, I'll have them check in so they can place their credit cards on file, and then up to the room to get settled.
*They asked to hang by the pool (saw pictures of the quieter pool)
*Will bring some snacks/drinks to pool and get lunch at Gasperillas.
*Relax and have dinner at GF Cafe
*If they still want to stay out, my friend asked to see the Poly. I figured we can walk over there, the moms can scooter and have a drink (or walk with our drinks). I know my friend would like Trader Sams but not sure how crowded that may be so we will just play that by ear. We can also then take monorail over to Contemporary and visit ToTW for drinks if they want to stay out (I do think my friend will want to stay up, not sure about the moms, we will see).

Saturday, September 7
RD Epcot
*Get done with Future World and then head to the countries about 11:00 am. This is something they would both be interested in touring.
*Go back to resort after lunch and rest.
*Go back to Epcot in the evening.
*We have dinner ressies at Rose and Crown Illuminations Package

Sunday, September 8
*RD MK, there is an EEMH, I think it starts at 7:00 am.
*Leave MK when done, usually 2:00 pm or so a little after counter service lunch.
*My friend and her mom like to shop so I have dinner ressies that night at DTD, Wine Bar George (we all enjoy having a good meal and wine. My mom and I have been here a couple of times).
*Party night so the park closes at 6:00 pm.

Monday, September 9
*Our friends wake up and go back on ME for their flight home.

Would there be anything you would change to above?

Thank you.

I think that looks like a good plan!

For Friday, I know even if I am tired from traveling, I'm still anxious to get out and see things when I arrive at my destination. I would maybe put Disney Springs tentatively on Friday night too, in addition to Sunday. If everyone gets a second wind Friday evening, it might be a fun place to visit on arrival night - especially for ladies who like to shop! And by doing that, you could spend more time relaxing on Sunday after lunch and just focus on dinner at Disney Springs.

Friday night plans sound great.

We love going to the different monorail resorts. The Poly is so gorgeous at night, well worth a trip.

Thank you. I think I will leave Friday night as-is and can always change if they decide they are up for going to DTD. I would just modify my GF Cafe ressie to a date that my mom and I could use during the week. Thank you.

Thank you. How about the plans for the rest of the weekend?
The one time my friend's family went to Disney, they stayed at the Poly and she was so happy to hear we can walk there from GF. She said the only thing she remembers was that there was a Volcano slide. I went online and showed her the picture that they still have that there.
She is excited to walk over.

it's a good thing that they like to get up early, so you can take advantage of MK in the AM!
