Chapter 2 pre First timer trip report
Cast: Me still obsessing packed yes I am> 12 days before departure. Getting less and less sleep as the excitement mounts.
DH:SITM Not sure how he is going to make hours and hours of park touring as lately he comes home from a 6-8 hour work day and crashes out for 4 hours .. (I am more than a little jealous here cuz I work 12- 14 hours running non stop) Not packed yet.
DS15: TCJ Again this one is not packed and I am figuring out is very nervous about flying. He at the dinner table mind you says I hope I dont puke on the plane. Then of course TAL pipes up rather loudly You are not sitting by me!! DS12: TAL Yes my friends he is MY son cuz he is all packed right down to his sonic toothbrush. (Yeah nice try there son you do have to brush your teeth for the week we are waiting for the day to come).
Friday Plans: arrive drop bags at POR and hop boat to DTD shop pick up PAL Mickey and eat dinner at CapNJacks back to resort for a swim.
Sat: 0600 wake up call troops quick breakfast at the resort counter hop on by bus by 720 to AK for AM EMH, I only have ½ day planned in this park and it is the first park we visit cuz TAL wanted it that way and yes he is the only one that helped me with the planning. Itinerary for this day: pickup maps check show times for Lion King and ITTBAB. KIL Safari, PF trail get FP for Kali RR, ride Dinosaur See Lion king ITTBAB then check KRR see other show not seen if time do Flights of wonder and Tarzan rocks then eat lunch at flame tree cuz TCJ LOVES ribs. Park hop over to MGM get FP for TOT ride great movie ride and RNR check FP see BATB or LMA show preferably BATB then Indiana Jones, star tours and must see Mupper3d. I have a 6:45 PS at Sci Fi and then plan to stay for the 2nd showing of Fantasmic. (Open for comments on all touring plans and examples of how to get it all done would be greatly appreciated). Looks like a full day doesnt it? I may have to leave DH to Nap under the tree of life.
Sunday: Commando is letting the troops sleep in this day 0700 wakeup call. Bus by 8:15 to TL. Again this day will counter bkfst at resort, can you say Krispy crème. I am going to swim with the sharks everybody else is too scared . Plan is to spend most of the day here but we are not going to close her down. I hope to get the troops back to the hotel by 3 or 4 take a short nap get cleaned up cuz we have PS at 9:30 for HDDMR. (Someone can input advice on best way to get to the show from POR Please!!!!)
Monday: Finally I get a decent breakfast 7:20 PS at Chef Mickeys yeah thats right 6:00 wake up call again I must be going to be low maintenance on this trip yall will be glad I have a tan. ( BTW I am going to have a taxi ride over to contemp. And after bkfst monorail to MK. I will ask sweetly to ride up front but remember I am low maintenance today so I probably wont get too. My must see agenda is LOOOONG I am going to do the mountains and PPF, buzz, MAOP, HM, POC, hopefully by mid day (am I being irrational here?) lunch at Pecos or cosmic rays back to hotel for a nap 5:30 ps at Kona back to MK for evening parades and wishes not sure on EMH yet will leave that up to the kids, and if they want to and SITM dont well again he can go try to take a nap with Cinderella for all I care. I want to do philharmagic the train and jungle cruise and stitches great escape too
Notice no mention of alcohol yet well folks I am no lush but I do have it in the plans but must try to get some sleep now .. Epcot has lots of fine beverage choices I am thinking Margarita in Mexico, Beer in Germany, Mai-Tai in Japan help me out here folks.
