What are the best tips you can offer to a first timer? What should I avoid? What I shouldn't miss? Give me your best tip ever!

Thanks!:grouphug:

LOL- there are a ton of tips on here, so you'll find your head spinning when you're ready to go on your trip.

I've found that having a basic plan helps a lot. Knowing that the best time to do Haunted Mansion or POTC was when the park first opened was a tip that was great for me. Fastpasses are excellent, and you can send a "runner" for them while the rest ride something else.

Just have fun, and don't let yourself get stressed out over anything.

Some tips depend a lot on when you go... High or Off-season? And who is in your group? Children? What ages?

Here are some general tips...

1. Get to the gate early each day - 20-30 minutes before park opening - and focus on rides for first few hours. Or do characters if that is your thing. Save shopping and dining for later in the day when rides have longer lines

2. Use Magic Morning

3. Know how to use FASTPASS

4. If you are there high season then get a walking distance hotel and take afternoon breaks every day to nap

5. Park hop

6. Have at least a basic plan each day of what you want to do

Don't miss... depends on your group. If kids are old enough do not miss:

1. POTC
2. Indiana Jones
3. Space Mtn
4. Splash Mtn
5. Matterhorn
6. HM
7. Big Thunder Mtn Railroad
8. Tower to Terror
9. Soarin Over California
10. Toy Story Midway Mania
11. California Screamin
12. Grizzly River Run

Those are the the thrillers. These are some of the charming things to do:

1. Tiki Room
2. Alice in Wonderland
3. Storybookland Canal Boats
4. Animation Studios (at DCA)
5. Turtle Talk with Crush (at Animation Studios)
6. Its Tough To Be a Bug
7. Fantasmic show
8. Fireworks show
9. Disneyland Railroad
