Compared to our RCCL, the room was MUCH bigger on DCL...

Dropped our stuff off, and off we went... We explored everything...

Went to the sail away party and I tell you the Horn was the best ever!!

After alittle bit, we dropped the girls off at there club, since on the first day both of there clubs are together, then seperate the next day and going forward...

DH and I are now ALONE!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

We had dinner at Tritons as our schedule was TAP...

I had a shrimp coctail...was just ok.. then a boulabaise (?) that was pretty good... Then a dish that had scallops, mashed potatoes and spinach all baked together...was good but scallops were alittle grainy...

Finished dinner and explored.......

Picked girls up about 8ish...baths...then back on deck with the girls in their PJ's....

Next day up ahead!!

what cat room did you have?
AND
do u have anymore pics of your cabin?

Hello,

We are first time cruisers and will be traveling in December. It looks like you guys had a great time. Can you talk about the kids activities? How was the room (for the time you were in it)? We have kids ranging from 6 to 13 so activities for them (to get out of our hair, what little I have) is important. We had to get two rooms so that is important as well. Any pics would help.

the shirts your girls were wearing the day you boarded the cruise were so cute! did you make them yourself? I'm loving this report!!! I'd love to see as many pictures as you have!

The girls are precious, funny how the youngest grabbed Goofy's leg, no fear.
Looking forward to more.

We were first timers as well, and honestly didnt know what to expect.... Lets say we were VERY impressed... We rebooked for next year...

I have a 5 DD and a 3 DD. The childrens activities were awesome... My 5 year old LOVED it, she didnt want to leave. They baked cookies, had lunch in Animators, played dress up, had a magic show, and watched movies. My 3 year wasnt to impressed, but then again she is a "mommas girl". She really didnt spend to much time there as we would drop her off and within 30 mins they were paging us, that she wanted to leave!!:headache: In her group they had Snow white come visit and play, dress up, drawing contest, and they made butter!!!! I thought the counselors where great, very helpful....

Then room worked great for us, wasnt to big, and not to small. Glad we had the two bathrooms, as my DH and I were able to work on both at the same time.. Great draw space, as we had the steamer trunk. The side of the room with the queen bed wasnt cramped, was enough to do its purpose!! SLEEP!!!

I am gonna try to finish my report by weeks end!!

Enjoy your trip... if any more questions, please feel free.....

Ok....

So up @7am (I am a early bird!!) everyone dressed and ready for breakfast.. We go to topsiders, grab a seat inside... The kids loved the mickey waffles!!! They actually ate really well for 2 picky kids...

Afterwards we go to the kids club to drop the girls off!! BYE BYE!!! DH and I had plans to Nassau for a little shopping... Let the staff know we are leaving the ship for about 2 hours...

When we pulled into port @ about 930am it was already 93 degrees..with the sun, captain said it was feeling more like 103 degrees, and beleive me, it felt it!!! I swear I felt like I could hear my sking burning!!!

Well, we proceed to go on the idland, now let me tell you, we were on floor 2 and its the best location to everything!!! No problems off the ship, wasnt to many people leaving this early... First stop....Tortuga Rum factory!!!! Got my rum cakes sampler. No rum as I knew I could find some really good prices elsewhere.... I Did!!! around the corner!!! Picked up a total of about 5 bottles of different liquors!!!:dance3: :dance3: ... Now on to the GUCCI store...no better time than now to try to get DH to buy Muah a nice, nice gift!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: Nice try........ NO LUCK... BAD BAD DH!!!

We were back within 2 hours, checked on the girls, decided to pick them up and take them for lunch.........NOW LISTEN UP EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

After reading so much on this site about what to do, what to bring, where to go, I remembered one bit of advice...got to the DVC presentation... Well, DH took my DD3 (other DD went back to club) to see WALLE, and I proceeded to go to my presentation....HMMMMMMMM only 3 folks (incld mysel) are here!! :yay: :yay: The presentation begins......... I win a really really nice DVC cooler bag, after answering a question..... Now its about 5 people here!!! popcorn:: popcorn:: Now this was some really interesting stuff...and if I didnt already own a timeshare, I more than likely would have pestered DH into buying one...oh well!!! Well, by the end of the presentation, about 8 people showed up and 2 of them was already DVC memebers...Its over, and we proceed to leave...The lady out front asked if Tony did the raffle, we are no, nope! We all go back in and he apologizes and picks a winner.........................................................................................................I WON!!! I WON!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

I couldnt wait to go tell DH, because I knew he wasnt going to believe me... Now when we booked we got a $50 OBC. We had already spent $25 of it on a bucket of beer.....Now I knew it was going to be lovely spending!!!!

Be right back!!

SOunds like a great day.. I agree bad DH LOL... and Im so going to remember to go to the DVC presentation! Thank you.. cant wait to read more!

$300! That's awesome!:thumbsup2
Can you expain the DVC presentation more? How long was it, etc...I almost went last time, but decided we couldn't afford to do it anyway, so did not go...but I am interested to find out what it's all about...

Great trip report so far. What day/time was the DVC presentation? How long did it last?

presentation was @3pm while in port at Nassau.

Lasted about 1 hour, and was very informative. If I didnt own a timeshare already I probably would have talked DH into at least getting more information.

Presenter asks a couple of questions, and person with closest answer wins a prize. Also leave with a really nice DVC Disney hardcover book called DREAMS.....

Was held in one of the bars, cant remember the name right now.
