me and my DH are headed to Universal for the first time and we have no idea what to do first. We Are staying at the Portofino Bay, we are both excitment junkies, and we love good food! We will be there from Oct. 4-8.

We usually "attack" as far as seeing everything there is to be seen and with my DH being active military he likes to come up with what he calls "a plan of attack" for each day. Are there better days of the week to do certain parks? We are going under the stay and play for 4 plan so our passes are included.

Are there any must see attractions or must eat restaurants? Any information would help.

Thank you!!!!!

Staying onsite u don't need a plan as u have fotl so u will do the attractions and rides pretty easy as for eating Myhtos at IOA gets pretty good reviews I liked Finnegans at USO great menu and atmosphere:jester:

As Highlander said, as long as you are staying on site, you will have plenty of time to see everything with the FOTL. The only planning needed will be to catch the shows at Universal Studios, that only run certain times if you want to see them. You have four days, so don't skip out on any of the shows, as many of them are very very good and often overlooked. The Horror Makeup show is hilarious yet I ofter read that people have missed it. Just relax and have fun, and FOTL will take care of everything.

If you like good food, I also recommend Mythos. They have limited hours at certain times of the year, so check first. Also Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific was EXCELLENT!

Staying at PBH, you MUST eat at Mama Dellas. It is right in the center of the piazza at PBH. As soon as you arrive, just pick up the phone and dial STAR service and they will help you make a reservation.
I also recommend Tchoup Chop and Mythos.
As for attractions, must-dos for excitement include Hulk, Spiderman, Dudley Dooright, JPRA, and Dueling Dragons (both) in IOA, and Mummy, MIB, and T2-3D in Universal. We also really like Shrek for the comedy. All the other attractions are great too, but the above are the most exciting IMHO.

Even staying on-site we commando tour, waking before reveille and attacking the parks. If thats what your husband wants to do this is how we do it.
Go to the PBH fitness center at 6.
Sit in the sauna and steam room
Soak in the co-ed whirlpool discussing our plans for the day.
Be at the turnstile at 20 to 9.
Shrek
Mummy
Jimmy Nuetron
MIB
MIB
MIB (your husband will like this attration)
Back to the Future
Jaws (oops thats down for maintenance)
ET
Earthquake
Finnegan's for lunch
Twister
Horror Make Up
T2
Ghostbusters
Beetlejuice
Back to PBH for a nap/pool time.

IOA (Next day)

Hulk (front row)
Spidey
Dr. Doom
Pteranadon Flyers
JPRA
Dueling Dragons (both sides 2 times)
Mythos for 11:30 lunch ( make ressies, they close at 2:30)
Cat in the Hat
One Fish Two Fish
Caro-Suess-el
Ripsaw Falls ( you just got wet)
Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges ( you just got soaked)
Leave IOA and take the water taxi to HRH and swim in their pool (listen for the underwater music) since you are already wet.
Take a leisurely stroll back to PBH on the garden pathway.

The rest of the time can be for romance.
