Can someone give some tipor do's and dont's for IOA for a first time trip....Myself, my wife, 2 boys 4 and 8....I love coasters and my oldest who is right at 54 inches is getting into them.....My wife will ride them if I am persistent....

If u head for the hulk at opening you will get on front of row with little or no wait just remember no carry ons etc allowed so if u go with nothing to carry or have someone who will watch your stuff u canm bypass the lockers and a lot of people who are using them they are prety strict on the carry ons, also don't miss spiderman its amazing great effects and very fun ride:jester:

This touring plan worked the day before yesterday:

Be at the turnstile by 8:30. Find a ticket reading island with a green arrow (not a red X). Travel light. Don't carry anything that security has to go through like a backpack or fanny pack, etc.
When they open the gates sprint to the Hulk. This isn't Disney so they won't slap your wrists for running. My kids made it so far ahead of others that they were in the front seat on a train by themselves (3rd time that they've been able to do that).
Exit Hulk and go directly to Dr. Doom. This is a slow loader and lines build quickly. There is nothing worse than waiting an hour for a 35 second ride!
Go to Spiderman, enjoy. The drop at the end isn't real so if Mom freaks have her close her eyes.
Exiting Spidey go to your left at a rapid pace through Toon Lagoon and into Jurassic Park. To your right will be an entrance to Pteranadon Flyers do it now or never. Exit through the play area but don't doddle.
Go to the River Adventure. If you sit in front you can get wet.
Continue to your right through JP and since you have little ones you need to stop at the Flying Unicorn.
On to Dueling Dragons. Ride both sides (Fire and Ice).
Check your watch. It is about 10:45?
Go on through Lost Continent. Stop at Mytho's Restaurant and write your name down for 11:30.
Go on to Seuss Landing and ride Cat In The Hat. Then One Fish, Two Fish.
Then you have time to ride the Caroseussell. Take photos with the Cat in the Hat and Grinch charactors and mosey back to Mytho's. You will probably be a little early but you can wait in their reception area while the kids climb on the rocks. Get the kids something from the kid's menu. My daughter liked the chicken fingers. If you want to stay kind of light grab a sandwich like the Cowboy Bar B Q. If you are hungry their steak is great. They have a banan fudge cake desert thing that is comforting as well. Don't get the kids chocolate ice cream because it has coffee and expresso and they'll turn into Ready Kilowatt.
After lunch and it has warmed up you go back through Jurassic Park to Toon Lagoon and ride Ripsaw Falls and the Bilge Rat Barges. Now you all are soaked to the bone.
Continue back towards Marvel Island and take photos with Popeye and Bullwinkle on the edge of Toon Lagoon. In Marvel Island get photos with Capt. America and Spiderman. All you have missed is a couple of shows in Lost Continent. Do them if you aren't too tired. Or if you are then go back to the hotel and rest for 2 or 3 hours and return for shows and to re-do favorites.

Yes, whatever you do, don't arrive at 11am. That's when the crowd hits, and the place gets packed. You want to be one step ahead of that crowd.
