Hi everyone.

Looks like we will be staying two nights at All Star Music for two nights pre Disney cruise. Probably wont get in in time the first night to worry about where to go for dinner but would love some ideas for the 2nd night. THere will be 3 adults, 9 yo boy and 8 yo girl.

Can anyone recommend a fun Disney place to have dinner that wouldnt be too far from that resort? and, how far in advance can you make reservations?

Thanks in advance!

You might ask over in the restaurants board

I haven't stayed @ any of the Allstars, so don't really know the lay of the land, but if you won't be visiting the parks I'd opt for someplace fun like Ohana in the Poly or Boma @ AKL. 180 days from the first night of your stay is when to make your dinning reservations for your whole stay (up to a 10 day stay.)

edited to add oops, minnie mum is right it's 180 days - 6 mo.s, so I corrected my no. above (my brain's on holiday tonight, I think.)

You can make ADRs 180 days before your visit begins.

If you will be in a park on that day, then I'd pick a restaurant in that park.

If you are not going to the parks, the closest resort with a TS restaurant would be Coronado Springs. But truthfully, I don't think their restaurant is all that great.

THe next closest resort would be AKL. You would have a choice of Sanaa, Boma or Jiko restaurants. All are very good restaurants, with different types of dining and price points. You can look at the menus at allears.net or by clicking on these links: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?restaurant.id=197

It depends if you are going to the parks. I would do a character meal or Ohana. You can do Cape May at the BC. Akershus in Norway EPCOT has the princesses. It all depends where you will be. You can also go to Downtown Disney.

If you're not going to be in a park, I would head to Downtown Disney and eat at T-Rex. It's a lot of fun and we've never had bad food there. Plan for a couple of hours - you'll find a lot to do in Downtown Disney.

Have a great time on your cruise - we've done 2 and they are a blast!

If you are going to DHS, try 50s PTC. It is a lot of fun! It has a schtick that some people love, some people hate...just depends on your family.
