First timer looking for lodging opinions

The studios at DVC are roughly the same size as any of the (non-suite rooms) at their partnering Cash resort. In terms of the Polynesian Studios (450 square feet) the only real standard rooms that are bigger are the Art of Animation Family suites (520 square fee). The biggest concern express is the lack of a second queen size bed and the inflexibility of renting points. I think size issues if their other options are cash rooms (in a non-suite) then they are roughly the same. However, when they bump up to a suite they might find renting a 1 bedroom through DVC to be roughly equivalent in cost perhaps less by a margin.

I've only stayed at BWV in a studio but I found it to be much smaller than a regular move. We also did a split with POFQ before BWV and found the POFQ to be bigger. Maybe it's the way the room is set up with the small little foyer that takes away some space?? Or the extra chair and table? But the room felt smaller and more cluttered.

I liked it for two people but would find it very very tight with 4-5 people.

If you decide to rent DVC points, do not respond to any private messages offering you their DVC points for rent. That is the way non-owners can get scammed and lose the money they give the "owner". Some scammers are going so far as to steal the information and name of a real owner. They "make" you a reservation and send you a copy of a real reservation confirmation that they have doctored to look like your reservation. When you arrive, you have no reservation. Same if you try to link the reservation to your My Disney Experience Account. It may show up as being owned by someone else. Either use an authorized broker, such as David, who is a sponsor on the DIS or respond to an owner post on the DVC Rent/Trade Board on the DIS. If you go through the R/T Board on the DIS, read all the sticky threads at the top of the page before you respond.

Also, if you find a reservation for rent on the internet that is a seven night reservation, usually at SSR in a one bedroom villa, for a lump sum price (usually rather than a per point cost), it usually is an RCI trade which is not permitted to be sold, only gifted or used by the owner of the timeshare that was traded to make that reservation. They usually include a message about a fee that must be paid when you check into the DVC resort; the fee is either $95 or $190 or some variation of that. Both RCI and DVC can cancel that reservation if they find out you paid for it and did not book it yourself through RCI. There are a few companies out there that make lots of RCI reservations (or buy them from others) and then try to sell them online. If you are offered any such reservation, ask if it is an RCI trade. If they say anything other than it was made using their own DVC points, walk away from it.
