First timer - is there a Disneyland Video???

Hi, I've finally convinced DH to trek cross country to take me to see the original mouse house that Walt built!!! I know nothing whatsoever about California or Disneyland. I'm starting from scratch here.

I'm wondering if there's a promotional video for Disneyland the way they have one each year for WDW (since they are free I collect them each year).

If they don't make one - fine. But where do I start? There seems like there is just so much more info out there on WDW than DL.

Anyone know of any good detail oriented sites??

I'm in the same boat as you! We've decided to do at least a one day stop at DL while we're in L.A. visiting some friends, but it's been very difficult to find websites! I did find this one tonight and it's at least been a start to my trip planning. It has info on both DL and WDW, but is catered more to DL.

I'm thinking that the big powerhouse websites (like wdwig.com) just don't exist for DL because there isn't as much to do. Less theme parks, no water parks, etc. Still, I'm hopeful that others will write back with websites they know of that can help us both out!

another good site is mouseinfo.com, there is a discussion board simular to this one but geared for Disneyland.

Also you could try www.intercotwest.com which is totally geared up for DL.

Was there in CA last month and found loads to keep us occupied at the two parks. You'll enjoy yourself.

There is also a disney singalong video called Disneyland Fun if you have kids. I also highly recommend the Disneyland USA: Walt Disney Treasures Limited Edition Tin (1954-1965). I found this at my local Costco. I think it was about 25.00. It is a very good comprehensive guide to the history of Disneyland. It is a wonderful Tin to collect.

I think your local video store or even your local library may have these. Check it out.
