Thanks to advice here I already reserved my hotel from dec. 12th -17th using annual pass discount. I will be buying my seasonal passes tomorrow (was hoping for a Black Friday discount) 😥
my flight arrives at 1 pm will I have enough time to check in to cabana bay get the passes and make it to the Mannheim steam rollers concert?
Can someone please direct me do I check in to hotel first or get my passes?
is there a quick check in? I’ve heard the lines are awful
Also it’s just me and my 4 kids what is the safest/cheapest way to get to the hotel I have a 2 year old so not sure if I need to bring his car seat

You should be able to do that.
You can pick your pass up at the Vacation Planning desk at your hotel.
The safest way to your hotel, especially with 4 kids, will be Universal’s SuperStar Shuttle.

You’d be better off using a car service than a shuttle. Tony Hinds is frequently recommended here. He will provide a car seat, help with your bags and door to door service with no extra stops at other hotels.

The hotels do have a mobile check in option - it seems hit or miss, though. They will email you a day or so before your stay with a link to do the mobile check in. We did two trips (with 2 hotels on each trip) in the past year and we did not get the emails the first trip, but did the second time.

Overall, any check in experience is down to timing and luck. Mobile check in, if you can get it, is likely the shorter option. However, there may be fewer agents handling the mobile check in desk and, if someone in front of you has some issue, you might wait longer.

We did a late night mobile check in at Endless Summer and were through super fast. IIRC, there was one couple in front of me for mobile and maybe 5 people in line for 'regular'. There was only one mobile agent, but I was through that line before there was any movement in the regular line.

Alternately, we did an early check in at RPR and there was no 'regular' check in staff. Everyone was in the mobile line so it was slow.
