First timer here!!!

Hello everyone,

I have been lurking for a while now and thought it was time to come out in the open. I have been getting such great information from all of you. My family (DH, DD4, DS2) will be taking our first trip to Walt Disney World this Nov/ Dec. I was thinking that it was too early to really be thinking about it when I stumbled across this site and saw that I may even be a little late in planning! LOL You have an awesome place here and I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Woohoo your first time! i had mine 3 years ago and got addicted from the start!!! Its so magical it will suck you right back in! you'll feel like you need to keep going back because it is impossible to see it all in one visit! i wish you the best of luck? are you stayin on Disney property? if so where? You might want to check into the meal plan! Especially with a famiy, it will save you lots of money! good luck8)

Magpie--We are staying at Pop. We were thinking about staying off property but when we saw how inexpensive things are that time of year we decided to take advantage of staying at a value resort. Then we found out about the dinning plan and decided that we really wanted to do a good bit of character dinner so that was the way to go. We are doing the 1 QS, 1TS, and 1 snack plan. DS doesn't turn 3 till January so there is no meal plan for him. I guess he will be happy sharing with us. I have learned so much here already. I never would have known about need ADRs for the character things and then we would have been so disappointed on missing them.

As for going back, I am sure we will love it! I am thinking that we won't be able to make it back for about 4 years so we have to make the best of the 8 nights/ 9 days we are going this time. Just wish they weren't tearing down TownTown. Kiddos would have loved that

We have not told the kids we are going yet. Are there any great suggestions as to a fun way to tell them? We will be driving so it might be a good idea to not tell them to we are almost there. We are in central PA so it is quiet the drive. The kids are 2 (3 in Jan) and 4 (5 in Jan).

Thats great! the meal plan is awesome! Just be prepared to be stuffed! if you need any suggestions on where to eat let me know! i know lots of great places!!!
