First timer help needed

We are finally getting to Universal in a week and I have some questions about the Express Pass and i have seen lots of discussions about throwaway rooms. But am still confused…

If we are staying at Cabana Bay from may 4-11, can we book a room at a premium hotel from may 6-7 to get the express pass for 2 days?

Or does this get flagged as a double book and a bad thing?

You can do that, they don't care if you book 2 rooms at once.
You can stay in the premier room or just check in to get your room keys (which will be your EP) and use the EP without setting foot in the room.
