Willis truly the most magical restaurant in DLR is the Blue Bayou. You truly have to experience it on the water to see how special it is. You will feel like you are outdoors and you can see the smiles of the folks in the boats as they start out on the Pirates ride. It is truly unique and something you will not forget.
Sounds really nice. We will have to give it a try. Thats one of the things I really love about Disney World, the great places to eat and the food. This sounds like something we would really like. :goodvibes

PM me if you have specific questions. I'm sure there is more, my mind just can't conjure up the details right now! Have fun planning!

Thanks. I appreciate all the tips. Everyone has been very helpful. Thank you. :thumbsup2 I love the disboards.

Anything hidden that we should look for? Any good advice on finding the characters? Where are you most likely to see them at Disneyland/CA? Which characters at which parks? Thanks for any help with these questions. :goodvibes

I have seen most characters around the main sun fountain in DCA and down the street towards TOT. Cruella DeVil, Stitch, etc.

My favorite hidden thing is the moose head in The winnie the pooh ride. It is left over from when that section was country bear jamborree. You can only see it if you look up and behind you as you enter a certain "room" of the ride. I spent all of my second time through with my head thrown back looking for it...and I found it!

I really enjoy the clam chowder in a bread bowl at Riverbelle Terrace. And I just recently ate at Rancho Del Zocco. Keep in mind there are 2 seperate places to get food once inside...one has the long line, and the other which is where you can get the fantastic taco salad thing has no line! If you eat here just around dusk and get a table to the right once you walk into the dinning area, you will get to watch the train from BTMR go by! It was a lot of fun and romantic with all of the special lights they have there. Also, if you have a Disney Visa, you get a discount at this restaurant. Or at least you did the last time I was there.

I agree that Taste Pilots Grill is great! I also liked Chips, dips, and strips at DCA.

If you like Ice Cream, you can't beat Gibson Girl!

I also agree about SNA being the best airport if you can get it. Smaller and closer than LAX...and sometimes a similar price!

Candy cane inn is my fav hotel, but if you are used to the on property hotels at Disneyworld, you may want to do one of the three disney hotels. If you do Paradise Pier, get the park view! It is georgeos. If you want a good pool, and goofys kitchen, choose Disneyland hotel, and if you want best entry to the park and having downtown disney at your fingertips, choose Grand Californian!

Bumping to see if I can get any more replies. Thanks :goodvibes

My favorite thing to do is loosen up when I am on Star Tours. I kinda get real wobbly and it just seems more fun. People get all stiff and don't enjoy all the bumps and stuff. I let myself go. I love that ride! We have been on it sooo many times. If you get on it more than once then you can get real dramatic also and scream and act like you are scared. People give me the weirdest looks and I make my husband crack up when I do that. It's also fun being real dramatic on Indiana Jones too. The food is wonderful at Riverbelle Terrace and Pizza Port. My husband does not agree on Pizza Port. He will usually eat at Club Buzz while we get our food at Pizza Port. Also the Grizzly Bear Restaurant is very good. We try to eat at least once in the park while we are there. Otherwise we leave the park to eat. Bigger meals less money. We always go to Millies and Mimi's Cafe.

I like to cruise into the country store(east side of main street 1/2 way up). there some old fashion phones you can listen to a "partyline" conversation..It's a time killer(if you have the time). :thumbsup2
