I have read that a lot of people take a couple of hours break in the afternoon to recharge for the evening. I have three children, 9,6 and 4 and think this would be a good idea. We have a villa in Kissimmee, would you consider going back to the villa or is it too far.

Thanks

You might want to consider taking a break from 1:00-5:30. That would give you a lot of time at your villa. I live in Texas where it gets very hot in the summer and that is just common procedure for us and has always been. If I am home, I am usually in from 2:00-6:00 to stay out of the heat. Other options at WDW during the hot afternoon is to go to DD and take in an afternoon movie or go to Disney Quest. Remember to drink lots of water and duck in to air conditioned areas as much as possible. The neck wraps you soak in water are also good for cooling down during the summer. Disney sells these in some of their shops. You could also go resort hopping during this time. Go for lunch at one of the deluxe resorts, take a long time to eat and then look around the resort. WL and GF would be good for this type of strategy.

Welcome to the Dis Kazd  It would be helpful to know when you are going. Off season park hours are shorter and a break (while not a bad idea) might not be necessary. During busier times when the parks are open later it's defintiely a good idea, but traffic to/from Kissimmee might be a hassle.

You're probably a little too far to go back to your hotel every day.

Some suggestions:
If MK is open all day (i.e. from 9:00-10:00) then you may want to take a break that day. Get there first thing in the morning, plan to leve about 1-2pm, then come back around 5.

AK is a small park and can easily be seen ina few hours (no need for break)

MGM is somewhat large, but has a lot of sit down shows so there's plenty of time to rest.

EPCOT is large, but lots of large buildings where you can go in and relax.

Make sure you get (or bring) a stroller for the 4-year old. In some of the parks, you can get a double stroller, which you could also use to give the 6-year-old a break (assuing their not too large).

In afternoon,by doing so you will be able to see and do more if you are well rested.Go back to your villa if not to much of a hassle.Or find a shaded quiet spot in the parks and put your feet up and have a light snack and look over guide and decide your evening plan's.:wave2:
