First-timer from Illinois

Hi! I'm Jenna and I've never been to a Disney park!

My husband and I are going to WDW in September to celebrate our 10th anniversary. No kids, but we do have a dog and a cat. (They'll both be staying behind but we'll send them a postcard!)

I am not really a Disney person (I know, blaspheme!) but we participated in the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day program and our trip evolved from a day or two to 6 days at AKL with deluxe dining! I got caught up in.....the magic! So we're both getting really excited and already counting down the days.

We're from Chicago and we went our 1st time in 06 and will be going back for our 8th time in Aug/Sept this year.

They have their hooks in us now.

Just wanted to say hello too! I am also from Central IL!! We are Disney LOVERS, and cant wait to get back there. We went last Sept, for the free dining. It was our favorite trip yet, but it was very hot. Im sure you will have a blast and you found one great place full of all kinds of information!

I was like you at one time. Thought people were crazy for all the money spent to go to Disney, until I delved into more information about it, much of it on these boards, and planned my honeymoon there in 2007. Well, needless to say-I'm hooked! You will be as well, the more you plan and find out what it has to offer!

As adults-only, be sure you go to JellyRolls at the Boardwalk (maybe after dinner at the Boardwalk or Swan/Dolphin). It's so fun!

Don't know how central you are, but I went to school in Bloomington and student taught in Lexington. DH's mom is from Fairbury. (a little north of central, I know)

Hello! I'm about an hour north of you! This is our first family trip to Disney World, and we are super excited about it. Enjoy! My husband and I wish we had been able to go before kids too, but we're just glad to be going at all!

Wow, lots of Illinoisans! Good to know I won't be shunned for not being completely ga-ga for Disney. I like Toy Story and Lion King! I don't think I mentioned it but I'm 29 so I'm a fan of any movies that came out during my childhood too, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Oliver and company, the Little Mermaid! My husband works for an ABC station and he's a big Hulk fan. In the past ten years, we've been to see lots of Disney movies.

We have ADRs for Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, Boma, Ohana, California Grill, Citricos and a few others. The only one I wanted and didn't get was lunch at Garden Grill. I wanted to see Chip and Dale!!
