When was your first time in disney and what was your first ride you went on?

I went ,i think it was 1997 when the castle was a cake. Our first park was epcot and i went on spaceship earth. I will never forget the first time i went to disney. LIke someone on these boards said. It is disney magic. We stayed at the all star sports. My son loved it. He loves sports so much. He can tell you every stat from every sport.

I first went to Disney when I was quite young and really don't remember the trip.

More recently, my wife and I went for our honeymoon back in '97. The first attraction we did was Alien Encounter. DW hated it. :)

I went to the MK when I was a toddler around 1976.

My next visit after that was in 2002 (and we have been an additional 4 times since then). Our first ride on that trip I believe was Buzz Lightyear-- DH and I are trying to truly recall and thats what we keep coming up with.

My first trip was 21 years ago (I was 7 yo then.) I had never been on a plane before this. My step-father (then just my mom's bf) paid for everything... we went to Miami first and drove down for one day at the MK. I can't honestly remember what rides we went on. We have went at least once a year, every year since then. Each trip adds memories to the trips before. And still to this day, there's no place I'd rather visit!!!
I remember that my favorite ride was the wedway people mover.

first ride poc, our trip of a lifetimealso known as first trip, july of 1985 ( our kids were 6+8)

My first trip was on my honeymoon in January of 1995...my first ride, Star Tours, dh is a SW nut. 2nd ride, ToT! :D

My first time was with my family, and I was 5. I have no clue of my first ride, but do have a story about one of my rides. Here goes...

I was a very petite 5 year old. Actually, I was the same size as my 3 year old sister. The whole family decided to go on Space Mountain. My sis went with my mom, my brothers rode together, and I went with my dad. At the end of the ride, I was screaming. And I don't mean just a little upset, I was furious. Screaming at the top of my lungs. My dad says everyone gave him nasty looks, probably wondering why he took this teeny tiny little girl on this ride. But I was actually screaming because I didn't want to get off. And I couldn't be comforted. I wouldn't stop screaming until my dad took my on again. What a delightful child I was!!

I do remember my hubby's first ride. We went on our honeymoon, and I immediately took him to Buzz Lightyear. he loved it so much, that we rode it again 4 times in a row before moving on to another ride.

I love going with someone , who's first time is going to be with me. My nephew's girlfried is coming and she has never been. My nephew has but when he went they hardly seen anything. so this is going to be fun.

First trip was in 1982 with Girl Scout Troop. I can't quite remember first ride think it was Space Mtn. I have been going regularly since 1992 and I always have to go to the Magic Kingdom first. Something about walking in and seeing the Castle and the smells walking up Main Street just get the magic started for me. We used to go to a ride in Adventureland first. Since the addition of our DS Fantasyland is our first stop.

Our first trip was March of 1995. We camped at Ft. Wilderness and had a fabulous time. I THINK our first ride was Space Mountain but I can't remember for sure. Everything was magical. Everything was perfect including the weather. 10 days of straight sun and 80-85 degrees. DH and I have been back many times with kids as they grew to adults and we still will never forget the first trip. It was the best. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

This is great. I remember being confused by the buses but we were at Port Orleans, then and went to the buses and got on one. We somehow made it to MK. The first thing, after walking around with our mouths open was Swiss Family Robinson. It is still one of our favorites, just because. The next I think was Pirates, so that would have been the first ride.

We are from Ohio, Cedar Point. Anyway, I had a 4 mo old in my arms and a 4 year old beside me and a 8 year old behind me. That little drop terrified me and I couldn't understand why they would allow an 8 year old to ride by herself and me with an infant in arms. I was prepared for battle and got fun. :hyper:

The two older ones still remember it vividly.

My first trip was in 1981, I have no recollection as to which ride we went on first.

The first time I went was in 1980 when I was 14. It was our families first big vacation. We had a great time. I remember the first time on the monorail and seeing the clock under the train station. One of my most vivid memories is being in the hotel pool and everyone discussing, "Who shot JR" from the TV show Dallas. Amazing what sticks in your mind.:smooth:

My first trip was in 1978 and I was 8 years old. I am not positive if it was first ride but I recall It's a Small World as my first WDW memory. To this day when I ride that I feel like an 8 yr old all over again.

Our first trip was our honeymoon last year & our first ride was Kali River Rapids...awesome ride! Can't wait to do it again!
:wave2:

Our first ride ever back in 1998 was TOT, which is probably why it is DH & I's favorite. ::yes::

I love all your stories. They were great. Keep them coming. It is making more and more excited about my upcoming trip.

Dh and I went in 1987. We stayed at the Wilderness Cabins. I loved everything!!! :p :p
I can't remember our first ride but our first park was MK.

Warning - long post ahead!

I spent my entire childhood just wishing for a trip to Disney!

While all of my friends went, we never could. Either we didn't have the money, or something else came up. Also, neither of my parents had ever been there, so they weren't all that interested - and had NO idea what we were all missing! We made a feeble attempt at planning for my high school graduation, but that didn't pan out either. Well, then it came time for my college graduation. **Keep in mind that I am the first in my entire family to GO, nevermind graduate, so I think I could've had the moon if I asked. Well, you know what I wanted! I said, 'That's it - I'm going to meet the Mouse!!' (Still remember the dates - 6/1/95 to 6/8/95!)

I read every book available at the time, but when we got there, we were still so completely overwhelmed! We stayed at CBR & after we checked in, we went immediately to the bus stop & couldn't decide on which park to visit first (was I crazy?? It HAS to be MK now!!) So, we just chose to hop on the first bus we saw - Epcot. My first ride? Spaceship Earth. But, that's not the best...

By our third day or so, we were exhausted, it had POURED every day, we were still a little in awe of everything & most importantly, I still hadn't met the big cheese - I was BUMMED. We were wandering around the Village Marketplace & stumbled upon Chef Mickey's. I was SO clueless - I didn't even know what a character meal was! So, imagine my shock when I saw Mickey himself walking around in his chef's hat! I just froze mid-sentence & literally couldn't talk. When the waitress came by, I was so worried that Mickey would miss us that my parents explained the situation to her & asked her to come back. She just smiled & said she certainly understood & would wait until Mickey came by. When he did, I just posed, smiled and - well, hey, I waited 23 YEARS for this moment, so of course......I CRIED! What a LOON I must have looked like!! The pictures are great, though - my parents just snapped away & there are so many of me just staring up at this Mouse, like he's Bruce Springsteen or something!

Thank goodness I had the foresight to find a man who's as Disney-obsessed as I am. We've been back together nearly 10 times, but I always have to break it to him - NOTHING will EVER top that first trip. (But, I still shed a little tear every time I run into Mickey! :D )

Plutes

what a great story. You put a lump in my throat. I can relate to a lot of your story. I am the baby of 7. My family didn't have the money to go on vacations. We had a pool in our back yard. I don't blame my family for this. They did the best they could. The first time i went. My BF ( now DH) mother won a lot of money and took us all to disney world. Now i am always looking to go back.

THank you so much for sharing all your stories. Keep them coming.
