First night of the 1999 trip, my sister & I went to Restaurant Marrakesh at Epcot - still probably my favorite/best meal ever at WDW. Even though there were only 2 of us, we had the family-style "Royal Feast," and they actually did serve it family-style. There was bread with this atomic hot sauce that was good if you dipped carefully (just the tiniest corner of bread in the sauce). A salad plate with about 4 different types of salads on it. Appetizers were Chicken Bastilla and Seafood Bastilla (the seafood bastilla was one of my favorite things). Main course was the roast lamb, cut in slices with a delicious sauce that was spicy and had almost a "chili-sauce" flavor, and lemon chicken - like a half-chicken on the bone - with couscous. Dessert was apple crepes. Oh, and one of my other favorites, Iced Mint Tea!! The whole meal was fantastic! We also had a great waiter, who seemed to be one of the more senior/experienced wait staff. We were seated on the main floor, with a good view of the musicians and dancer, and I had my camera out and had taken some pictures. Late in the meal, our waiter had stopped at our table, saw my camera, and said, "Ladies, would you like me to take your picture?" It ended up being the only photo of Sis & me together from the whole trip. Awesome experience!
We went back to Marrakesh on our last night of the 2004 trip - some things had changed, the Royal Feast wasn't served quite the same, and some of the foods were different (lamb was a leg, not slices, and the single Jasmina salad had replaced the mixed salads assortment), but it was still great.
