First time you ever ate at WDW was.....?

Novermber, 1987-our lunch on the first day of our first trip was at the LTT (breakfast was in our trailer at FW). I remember thinking how ironically dumb it was for us to choose such a location-themed for Colonial America. At the time we lived near Boston, and there were lots of resturaunts back home with similar theming.

Our first trip was in the early 80's when there was only the MK. I seem to remember the restaurants we ate at are mot there anymore. Adventureland Veranda and LTT.

My first visit was only a few years ago, but I'm still surprised I remember. It was lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern in the Magic Kingdom. I had clam chowder. It was decent, though I should have known better than to expect it to be like the clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls in Disneyland, which is one of my favorite treats.

First meal was in Oct 2008 - we arrived very late one night and ate burgers at the airport for dinner so the first on property meal would have been breakfast at All Star Sports - I had the Mickey waffles with strawberry compote and still dream of it - POFQ just has sliced strawberries which I eat separate so I can moisten the waffles with maple syrup, mmm the compote was so much better! :goodvibes

My first good meal at Disney was in 2008 - Wolfgang Puck's Express (DTD Marketplace). Rosemary Roasted Chicken dinner. My first official meal upon arrival at our resort, however, was just a cheeseburger and fries from the food court.

We made sure to eat at Puck's Express this year when we went and it was just as good as the first time though. :goodvibes

We just got back last week from our 1st trip ever! Our first meal there was lunch at Roaring Forks (WL's CS), since we came off the plane *starving* :)

Well our first trip was in 2000. I can't remember where we ate first? Was most likely in the food court at All Star Music. The only food I really remember eating back then was in Epcot; Millennium Village. I miss that place! Too bad they don't reopen it and maybe have revolving exibits/countries...

I don't remember the year - but it was at the Melvin the Moose Breakfast Show and I had chocolate chip muffins!

The first as an adult was 50's Prime Time - I had a salad, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and baby carrots. :)

Yay, finally I found someone else who remembers Melvin the Moose. I've mentioned that breakfast several times on these boards and no one else remembered it. Remember when we all had to yell "Wake up, you silly moose!" in order to get Melvin to wake up and start talking and played our kazoos? I wish I still had my kazoo from that breakfast.

July, 1972. We checked in to the Contemporary and had dinner at the Terrace Buffeteria. (I don't think that it went by the name "Grand Canyon Terrace" quite yet.) Pretty sure I had the Salisbury Steak. Whatever I had, it was pretty much Swanson's TV Dinner quality.

The next morning we had breakfast in the Pueblo Room before heading to the MK. Had pancakes. They were awful. But I didn't care.

First lunch in the park was at Crystal Palace. Dinner that evening was at the Gulf Coast Room.

We were there in 1977, but I couldn't tell you where or what we ate - I was only 10 or 11. I went again on our honeymoon in 1988 and don't remember where we ate first, but a remember eating a lot of ham sandwiches. I also remember getting some peanut butter sandwiches that were yummy - no premade uncrustables back then!

As a child, my first trip was in 1987 when I was 8 years old. We didn't eat in the parks, because my family was on a tight budget. However, I had heat stroke (it was mid-July) and passed out on Tom Sawyer's raft halfway to the island. My dad held me unconscious all the way back to the dock and ran to a clinic (I think it was all the way in Fantasyland). Anyway, that wasn't a fun experience for my parents, so after that they kept buying me mickey ice creams and drinks to keep me cool and hydrated. Those were good mickey ice creams

As an adult, we brought our kids to Disney the first time (also on a tight budget), and we ate outside the parks and brought our own lunches in our backpacks. On our last night there we realized we made it under budget with some money to spare, so we had dinner at Tony's. I don't know if they have really great food, or if we were just massively starving, but that was a memorable and delicious meal. I think I had seafood diavolo or something like that. Since then it has become a family tradition to eat at Tony's on our last night at Disney.

I only remember two meals back from 1991/1992. One was the Hoop-de-doo Revue. The other I couldn't actually remember until my FI and I had DxDP on our last trip and we ate at Crystal Palace. I walked in the doors and shouted "I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE!" I then immediately called my parents to confirm this realization.

1997. I was on a high school trip and was forced to stay with this annoying girl all day. We walked up at CRT and got in for lunch.

I can't at all recall what I had, but I know she had pasta with kalamata olives. Why that part is seared in my brain, I have no idea!

My 1st trip was in 2007. I was 43 years old! I had dinner at the Maya Grill @ Coronado Springs Resort. Some sort of Tomato Soup with a Surf & Turf Entree. Filet Mignon, grilled tilapia with mash potatoes and grilled vegetables. I was so excited, I had finally made it to WDW. :dance3:

I still have my kazoo. :lovestruc

I wish they'd bring it back!

I actually couldn't remember the name of it for ages. For a while I thought I'd just imagined it because no one knew what I was talking about, and then it came up on the camping boards - I was so excited to find out I wasn't crazy. :rotfl:

First night of the 1999 trip, my sister & I went to Restaurant Marrakesh at Epcot - still probably my favorite/best meal ever at WDW. Even though there were only 2 of us, we had the family-style "Royal Feast," and they actually did serve it family-style. There was bread with this atomic hot sauce that was good if you dipped carefully (just the tiniest corner of bread in the sauce). A salad plate with about 4 different types of salads on it. Appetizers were Chicken Bastilla and Seafood Bastilla (the seafood bastilla was one of my favorite things). Main course was the roast lamb, cut in slices with a delicious sauce that was spicy and had almost a "chili-sauce" flavor, and lemon chicken - like a half-chicken on the bone - with couscous. Dessert was apple crepes. Oh, and one of my other favorites, Iced Mint Tea!! The whole meal was fantastic! We also had a great waiter, who seemed to be one of the more senior/experienced wait staff. We were seated on the main floor, with a good view of the musicians and dancer, and I had my camera out and had taken some pictures. Late in the meal, our waiter had stopped at our table, saw my camera, and said, "Ladies, would you like me to take your picture?" It ended up being the only photo of Sis & me together from the whole trip. Awesome experience!

We went back to Marrakesh on our last night of the 2004 trip - some things had changed, the Royal Feast wasn't served quite the same, and some of the foods were different (lamb was a leg, not slices, and the single Jasmina salad had replaced the mixed salads assortment), but it was still great.

First trip ever? Summer of 89 - some college friends and I road-tripped down from Tuscaloosa on a whim....

We had no budget to speak of at all - I remember we ate at Tomorrowland Terrace; I don't remember what I ate at all, just that they served sandwiches and such there way back when.

I also remember we stayed up all night to make said road-trip; I ended up sleeping thru every slow ride at the Magic Kingdom!

My honeymoon is 1991. We were staying at the GF and our first park visit was Epcot.

We made reservations via the video kiosks they used to have, where you would walk up to the little tv screen and someone would pop up and ask you where and when you wanted to dine.

We made reservations for early dinner at Alfredo's in Italy. I remember it like it was yesterday. My wife and I spent the entire meal laughing ourselves silly at the family of 4 next to us who had ordered and ate more food than an entire NFL team could eat. It was hysterical and kind of disturbing all at the same time!!

Man did the years just fly by!! Seems like yesterday. And I have to say how very sad I was when Alfredo's closed, though Tutto Italia is housed in the same building and looks almost identical inside so that helps ease my pain a bit.
