We're very experienced Disney vets, but the whole app/virtual ticket world came along after all my kids already had their own phones, Disney accounts, etc. We are traveling with our 4yo GS next month, and I am wondering how his ticket will work? We are used to just loading each person's ticket to their Apple wallet and using our phones to for entry to the parks, and the app for everything else. Do we somehow add his ticket to our wallet as well? How does that work?

I've seen other people say they buy a MagicBand and wear it themselves.

You can load his ticket on an adults phone (since Children are managed in MDE by an adult/parent). It gets a little tricky since you'd have to select which ticket when it popped up in the wallet via NFC.

It's a little cumbersome, so we bought magic bands (2.0 not MB+) and the kids wore them, since they can be sized down for smaller wrists. They really enjoyed tapping into the parks/attractions, it was faster than using the phone, and different adults could take the kids on attractions.

I always found the swiping between different people to be a real pain, especially at the lightning lane scans. I would just stop by the ticket booths on the way into your first park and ask them for a physical card (free) for your grandson. You can just carry it with you and scan it. Or you can get him a magicband, my daughter started wearing one at 2 before she even needed a ticket because she was jealous of her big sister.

Yes, you can add his ticket to your Apple Wallet. I don't find it terribly inconvenient and it provides less chance of losing anything. But, certainly, if you think GS would enjoy a MB, that works too! I, personally, wouldn't get a card - I'm not a fan of using my phone and then digging around for a plastic card as well.

one thing to think about is there a chance the 4 year old would be one or more members of your group besides you? if so having a card or band would be easier then
