Hello! My cat has stayed with me at HRH & RPR. My Mom's dog (also a pug) has stayed with her at RPR. Our pets did receive a welcome gift (placemat, 2 bowls & treats). They also give you a thing to hang on your room door that indicates there's a pet inside (like a do not disturb sign).
You'll have to arrange for housekeeping during your stay. There are 3 ways you can do that:
1. Keep your pet in the bathroom while you're away from the room. Put the "pet sign" on the outside of the bathroom door so the housekeeping associate doesn't open the door and let your pet out. If you require fresh towels, be sure to put your used towels somewhere in the bedroom. Housekeeping will leave fresh towels in the room for you. This is what I do with my cat cause she's totally cool staying in the bathroom. I also taped my own sign to the outside of the bathroom door just so there wasn't any confusion.
2. Put your pet in the Universal kennels while you're away at the parks. Housekeeping can enter your room when needed with no special arrangements.
3. If you don't want to leave your dog in the bathroom or at the kennel, then call housekeeping when you're ready for them and they'll send someone up to your room. You'll need to vacate the room with your dog while they're cleaning. There's a dog walk path around RPR where you can go while you're waiting for housekeeping to finish up. Whenever your dog is running freely around the room, be sure that you have the "pet sign" on the outside of the door.
If you have any questions, please ask. The only stupid question is one that isn't asked.
