So for 5 years straight going to WDW or DL (took last year off) and having the old fast pass system down to a science, I am worried. I have a WDW resort stay, package with tickets so I am afforded the 60 day window. My fear is I still will not get the times of the rides within reason that we want, because other guests 60 day window may start a few days ahead of ours and the days we plan for the park all the FP may already be gone by our 60 day window. I am worried that we will not get FP for any of the major rides to fit into a reasonable schedule...Am I right to think this or should this not be a major issue? We are stressing big time....We are going mid week in October 10/12 to 10/17, one park per day no park hopping..Thoughts???

Thanks you
Jim

Unless you want A&E or SDMT, you shouldn't have any problems. I've never had any problems getting FP even the day before, you may have to compromise on some of the times but even then, they can be changed right up until the moment you actually get on the ride. I've been known to be standing in a line and decide the wait isn't that bad so I switch my FP to something else right then.

Thank you....I feel a little better, but what is A&E ??? Anna and Elsa ???

My suggestion is to start at the end of your trip for things like Anna and Elsa or Seven Dwarves and work your way backwards to your first day - this is how I worked it when we did FP+ last year - worked great - we had seven dwarves like 3 times

I was a little worried as well, as I am a Disneyland veteran, and have only used the paper fast pass system and am a total newbie to this fast pass plus stuff. I read up on it, and got it all figured out, booked our fast passes for June at 60 days out, and was able to get all of our fast pass choices no problem, including 7DMT at a reasonable hour. There wasn't anything on our list that we weren't able to get at a good time. You should be fine, especially since you're talking October, and not June-August.

When I did mine at 60 days out for June, I had zero trouble getting 7DMT for both my arrival day and the next day. I did have a back up plan for the 6th day if I couldn't get it early in the trip, but that wasn't necessary.

We got everything we wanted: the mountains, tot, tsmm, etc.

I didn't try for A&E as I have two boys and they weren't interested. And actually I don't think you can get A&E now anyway. There are no FP past June 11th, until they figure out when they are moving to Epcot.

Will it be more difficult to get fast passes during the summer months?

Don't worry you will get the FP's you want. We are going in June and I got all the ones we wanted at the times we wanted. I did ours in April and there are still plenty of FP's to choose from. If you do them the day they open you will be fine.

Just went and checked and there are still a bunch of Seven Dwarfs left for our trip the last week in June. The only FP's not available for our MK day are A&E, the afternoon parade, and meet Cinderella. It kind of surprises me because last years trip there were less available this close to our trip.
