We're planning an early August WDW trip. :cool1: My baby will be 15 months old. My son will be 7 yrs old. We are only able to visit one park and he REALLY wants to visit a water park! So I'm thinking two "park" days and two just to relax & enjoy. I just scheduled a character breakfast at Chef Mickeys also (last week). :cheer2:

I'm trying to figure out how to make the best out of each of the 2 parks. He wants to ride all 3 train roller coasters :scratchin , so I'm thinking Magic Kingdom. What do you think?

I've never been to Blizzard Beach and haven't been to Typhoon Lagoon in over a decade!

Suggestions?

What else can I tell you - I haven't been to WDW since 2011. We are driving. My hubby isn't into Disney :confused3 We are both in our 30's. My son's first WDW parks visit was for his 3 birthday. This trip was decided upon about 3 wks ago. We are staying off property :sad1: and I'm suuuuuuuuper exciiiiiiiited pixiedust:

Any advice for me?

Pls disregard the signature w the "2012" - that trip never happened b/c I was having day-long morning sickness by the time that August 2012 rolled around :worried:

Yes, MK will probably be your best park choice. There's a lot of options for both kids. By 2 park days, do you mean that you'll spend two days in MK? Just want to make sure you know water parks use a different ticket than theme parks.

As for the water park, you can't go wrong with either. I'd show your oldest some info and pictures about each and let him decide.

I'm not a tickets guru, but it seems like you can get better value than buying just one theme park ticket and one water park ticket. If you do some research (like Undercover Tourist), you might be able to find a way to get extra park days with water parks and more option for about the same cost as two individual tickets.

This......One day at the MK is going to run you about 100.00. You could do three or four days and add on the water park and get a much better deal. July with a one year old is most likely going to mean doing a shorter time in the water park. You may be happy with 3-4 hours one morning there and a park later that evening after a long nap.

If you do one park, I would do MK.
