Hi we are visiting Orlando from October 19 2004 can anyone give me an idea of the park opening times then. I understand the parks close early at this time of year. Does this make a difference to the enjoyment. Also do we get to see any of the fireworks as the parks close early. Any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome to the DIS boards :sunny:

Here is a link to last October hours:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hour...Date=10/31/2003&submit2=Check+Disney+Hours+>>

October official hours will be posted about 2-3 months in advance

When parks close earlier it is almost always due to lower crowds and attendence so the lines and wait times are shorter as well

October is also a nice (still warm but not so humid) time to visit from a weather perspective:

MK will have the MNSSHP (halloween party) going on - others on this board or searching for posts on this will give more info

Illuminations is on evert night at Epcot at the same time - 9pm, Fantasmic hours vary somewhat at MGM but are on every night around 7:30-8pm or so in October

Since they introduced Wishes in MK, it has been on every night but I am not sure if MNSSHP interferes with the wishes schedule or not.

Good Luck!

cheers

Welcome!
You can find PROJECTED/ESTIMATED park hours on this site.
Click on Theme Parks - then Theme Park Hours - type in your dates and you will get an EDUCATED GUESS on the most likely hours the parks will be open.

Disney.com only has hours posted thru June.
I suggest you also send them an email and ask. You will get a reply to check back 30 to 60 days from your trip. I firmly believe that if enough of us constantly ask about hours 90 to 120 days in advance they will change that policy.

You will have the chance to see Illuminations in Epcot - That is held every night.
Wishes Fireworks @ MK depends on your dates. Ditto for Fantasmic @ MGM.

Enjoy your trip!

Welcome to the Dis FHWC!:sunny: Enjoy planning your trip to WDW and don't be afraid to ask questions here!::yes::

Last time we went to WDW was just after the big conflagration about PS 90 days in advance. One of the CMs told me that WDW was changing this so that the hours would also be posted 90 days in advance. Hasn't happened. Here folks are making their July 4th PSs but still no official hours! Still seems silly to make PS without knowing the park hours. After all, they MUST know which parks, how late, in order to jive the restaurant hours. Would sure be nice if they added the park hours day by day as the 90 day deadline approaches.
