Welcome! :earsboy:
I dobn't know any of your answers. But I would think you get more up to date info by posting in the DL section of The Dis. princess:

Hi ! We have a couple of aussies here also planning trips! If you didn't want to drive, and only plan 1 day in the parks, I would check out Grayline company.
But of course, most of us here would reccomend splitting your stay and staying in anaheim for a few days at the Disneyland resort.

I would love to help out a fellow aussie if I can. I think (someone might need to correct me here) that you will be about an hours drive away from the Disneyland Resort.
I would not recommend a tour if you can get there any other way. I have found that with tours that they get you to wherever you are going a bit to late for my liking & then leave too early!
Would love to help you out more if you want. Just need a bit more info though. How much time do you want to allocate for Disney out of your trip (1, 2 or more days?), What are the age groups going? What are your expectations - do you just want to go & soak up the atmosphere, do you want to do a lot of thrill rides, do you wants to see a lot of shows?
Sorry to seem so nosy, but I had a friend who went to Disneyland for 1 day only (on Thanksgiving day) & hated it because he wasn't prepared. Of course he told me after he went or I could have warned him that it would be massively busy & to use fast pass & to get there for opening & so on.
I just hate the thought of anyone not having the time of their lives when they go!

Hi - another Australian here just back from Disneyland.

Beverly Hills is about an hour away down a VERY boring freeway (double that if traffic is bad).

If you're just going for a day, then the trip isn't too bad, if planning to go for a couple of days then you should seriously consider changing at least part of your booking and staying in Anaheim. That drive will drive you nuts.

Contact me direct through the website link below if you want some information on our trip.

:bounce: Thanks for the quick reply we will take on board your advice.

Unfortunately our accommodation in Beverley hills is already pre - booked and paid. Looks like we will be driving the freeway.

Thanks again

us two new mickies

See Ya
