Hi, we are going to Disney (for the first time) Jan 2 through the 5, with our two kids. We will be staying at the beach club. Any advice on accomodations? Thanks

Are you staying in a standard room or water view room? I would definitely request a room near one of the elevators. The Beach Club has very long halls and lots of them and it can be a really far walk from an elevator and the ice machine. You might also want to request a full balcony especially if your kids are young and go to bed earlier than you. Not all of the rooms at the Beach Club have full balconies, some of them are just small walk-out balconies only big enough to stand on. You might also want a room with a day bed. My 11 year old daughter slept on one and she loved having her own bed and not having to share with anyone. There are some really good floor plans of the Beach Club in the Yacht and Beach Club FAQ on page one of this board under Resort FAQ thread that you might want to look at before you go. We loved the Beach Club but our room was FAR from an elevator. We ended up using the stairs near our room most of the time.

Hey Daisymeo -- Thanks for the reply -- I followed your advice and checked the FAQ! Great tip...I'm still learning my way around. We are staying in a standard room and it looks like the full balcony with a garden view seems pretty good. Thanks again.

If you plan to visit Epcot alot, then I would suggest requesting a room near the International Gateway. These are farthest from the lobby however but they are very convenient to Epcot World Showcase.
