What are some good choices for a first time visit with a child? The Coral Reef looked interesting for the view while eating seafood. Feedback? What about the Hollywood and Vine character meals? Thanks for any tips!

How old is the child and boy or girl. Chef Mickey is a a good starting point. CRT for girls.

I agree. Unless the child is older Coral Reef is not that interesting. I think character meals are the place to start. I'd also look at Sci Fi at DHS, Hoop De Doo at Ft Wildernesss.

We took our 4 year old grandson last year for his first visit. Coral Reef was the least favorite. Tusker House breakfast was probably his favorite.

Agree we need more info to give you good advice.

Generics: CRT is very cool because you eat in the Castle itself but it is pricey; 2 credits on the dining plan. Crystal Palace is a buffet in the MK; all 3 meals are Pooh characters and the food at all 3 gets pretty good reviews. Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary is the only place where you can get the Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy). If you have a little girl, Akershus in the Norway pavillion at Epcot is all princesses all the time. A couple of places have character breakfasts only. Hollywood and Vine - food is meh but the characters there often appear nowhere else, so do it only if the specific characters like Agent Oso are dealbreakers.

We have been to WDW 9 times and I am not even sure any of my kids remember Coral Reef...and we have eaten there twice. Not all of the seats are near the aquarium and, although the food is good, I thought the portions were small for what they cost.

Crystal Palace is a must do for our kids. We haven't enjoyed our last two visits to Chef Mickey but it is the only character meal with the character jackpot. I would suggest the Garden Grill in Epcot - my kids like that one but DH doesn't so we don't go there as often as we would like.
