First time trip, all advice welcomed!

hi ,
coming home our flight was at 12.50pm but being the worrier i am we wanted to not be rushed as the airport is sooo large its easy to get lost, we booked it for 9.00am , he came a few mins early and we were there for 9.30am and this was with traffic a little on the roads , so we did have loads of time to waste when we got there but at least we didn't have to worry, with air france you just used the machine to print off your boarding pass, then dropped luggage off then went thru secruity which is a lot more thorough than at home took a little while to go thru and they wanted to search thru my sons bags and went off to check our boarding pass? then you're in a large area with some shops etc there is an upstairs and downstairs with gate no's , you have to go on shuttle buses to the plane that takes about 10mins as airport is huge, we boarded at 12.00pm for 12.50 so they do do it a bit earlier than us to get off on time.
i would allow at least 1hr and a half to give yourself enough time.

took some brill pics if you want to have a look of sequioa and the area around it, let me know and i'll try and post some up

sorry carn't seem to add pics if you do want some let me know your email add or private message me and i'll send you some got a brill pic that shows how close the sequioa is to the parks etc..
you mention how nervous you are , don't think you could of been more nervous than me , i hate travelling full stop , i have ibs and panic attacks so it was awful the build up to it, but once on plane i was okay as its so quick , coming back though i did panic alot before taxi and had to take a diazapam tab etc.. but was okay once we were at airport
