First time to WDW in November - any tips?

We have been to WDW many, many times but this is the first time we are going in November. Our dates are 11/13 - 22 and we have tickets for the MVMCP on Nov 15th. There will be 6 of us - no little ones (the youngest will be 10). I have never seen the castle lit up for Christmas and have never seen the MK decorated for Christmas. I would welcome any info, advice, suggestions anyone can give me.
I am really looking forward to hearing from folks about this time of year trip. Thanks!!

November is my favorite! This will be our 5th November trip. I love the decorations - really puts you in the holiday spirit. We are looking forward to a picture with Santa Goofy Also hoping to see Santa and Mrs. Claus since we missed out on that last year.

Also, the weather can be tricky - last year it was hot. The year before it was cool and drizzling for part of the trip but warm and comfortable the rest of the trip. Bring layers!

We are going Nov 12-20th so also interested in any November info! We usually go in Dec so I figure Nov will be similar but maybe a bit warmer, hopefully. Though Dec weather for us the last few years has been pretty good for the most part.

We go this time every year for the past several years. We are down there from 11/9 to 11/19, and I expect lighter crowds than our past couple trips that covered Halloween, and early-November. Food and Wine will be wrapping up, and Jersey Week will also be done for most of our trip. We have always had excellent weather on our fall trips, and hoping for the same on this one. I've had good luck with ADR's on this trip, so that leads me to believe that crowds will be at least manageable. Probably will stay away from Epcot on that first weekend we are there, as that is the last weekend for Food and Wine. Let me know if you have any questions

We are actually hoping to eat our way around the world on the last day of the F&W festival, since our dining plan doesn't kick in until 11/15. I do have a question about the food kiosks at the F&W - can you charge the food to your room via your magic band? Or do you need to have cash on hand?

I'm fairly certain you can charge it to the band.

HAVE FUN!!! November is great. You get a break from the heat and the Christmas decorations are up!!! We have done the week before Thanksgiving & Thanksgiving week and loved every trip. This will be our first week after Thanksgiving and we are looking forward to it. Unless we win the Disneyland contest!!!

BTW, we'll be there at the same time (11/12-11/21). That time seems to be getting a little more crowded each year, but it's certainly manageable. Two years ago, a cold spell hit...and it was a miserable damp cold.

November is our "go to" time to travel to Disney World! We honeymooned many years ago the second week of November and it was dead, we hit 4 parks in 2 days and walked on everything (that was in 1998). As the years have gone by the parks had more attendance. Still a moderate crowd time prior to Thanksgiving. We now plan our trips departing mid-week prior to Thanksgiving and are out of the parks a day or so prior to Thanksgiving. We love this time of year, the weather is cooler (agree with poster above bring some layers) with magical holiday aspects! My best advice good walking shoes, take breaks, pay attention to Disney detail the small things are magical, and watch when planning your park days due to the Mickey Very Merry Christmas Party (Magic Kingdom days will close at 7pm unless you have a pay extra ticket). I don't think you will be disappointed with your chosen timeframe. Most of all have a safe and magical trip!

Yes, we charged quite a few items last year (the filet to name one--about six different times, lol). The last day of F+W will be jammed packed, but you can get to quite a few booths a little easier if you eat closer to lunchtime. I noticed over the years that late afternoon and evening are just plain crazy packed.

I'm so excited about this trip. It is the first time for the F&W festival (we've been while it was going on but never actually participated in it), our first time seeing the MK decked our for Christmas and our first MVMCP!!
We are planning on starting our food tour as soon as the World Showcase opens and then plan to spend the evening watching the drunk people fall down!

Congrats! This is a lovely time of year. One year we got a MNSSHP and a MVMCP so check out the party dates for the Christmas party also! If your budget allows. I don't know if it's too early but if you have a car go to the Gaylord Palms they have this amazing winter wonderland. We have enjoyed good weather in the main but one year it turned really cold in the middle of the vacation we had to go to walmart and get warmer clothes so pack for anything ! You will love it low crowds, CM spend time with you. Eating places not so busy. I would look into getting memory maker if you don't have an AP as lots of lovely photos for your party. Magic shots etc.

The week of Novermber 14th the Magic Kingdom closes early on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Be prepared for MSEP and Fireworks to be extra busy on Saturday the 19th.
