It's our first time to WDW and we have the DisneyCruise planned as well. My only problem is I can't decide if we should go for Halloween 2007 or Christmas -New Year's 2007-08. I don't know what the park offers for either holiday and need a pro's advice!! Help me please! :confused3

Both Christmas:santa: and Halloween:hmghost: have their own parties, which are both seperate tickets from your park admission. Christmas has more things going on in different parks. Here is some info about Halloween in WDW http://allearsnet.com/tp/mk/mnssh.htm and here is info about Christmas in WDW http://allearsnet.com/tp/hol_mk.htm You can't go wrong either time although Halloween will be less crowded and warmer then Christmas-New Years week.:mickeyjum :welcome: to the Dis :wave2:

This is a tough one for me. It is SO crowded during Christmas, but I absolutely love the decorations and such around that time. So, in the end, Christmas won out for me.

Not knowing more about your available times, I would suggest that if at all possible check into changing your schedule from Christmas week till one or two weeks before Christmas. Not only will you be able to enjoy all the Christmas decorations, shows, festivals, etc... but you will also be able to miss out on the most crowded time of the year.
Again, this might not be a possibility, but if it is, give it a lot of consideration.
If you can't change, then I would still probably go with Christmas, just be prepared for large crowds.

Normally I would say go during halloween but, if your doing a cruise I think it would be more magical during X-mas to wake up IN WDW on X-mas or on a cruise to wake up with that and have the calm ocean right outside so I think it would be better if you went in X-mas. :santa:

I pick Halloween simply because the weather is typically so nice. It's usually warm enough to still enjoy the pool. We also really enjoy the Halloween party.

Do you have kids? I would thin it would depend upon your kids. Which holiday do they like? How old are they? older kids would probably like Halloween better while I would think younger kids would enjoy Christmas more. Both holidays are magical in WDW.
