This is our first december trip. Can you suggest what we should not miss. Are there any restaurants that are decorated for the holidays? Thanks for any info! :sunny:

Dec is our fav time to visit WDW! It is so festive then, all the parks and resorts are decorated in their Christmas best. I dont recall many restaurants being decorated. I think Trails End at FW has some, but other than that, nothing comes to mind. As for the resorts, each has its own unique decorations.

Check out the DVC resorts. I dont want to spoil all the things each offers, just check them out. I think WL especially is majestic this time of year.

GF, dont miss! The lifesize gingerbread house is worth the trip!

The parks all have huge trees all decorated.
MK has a Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party that is fun. You pay extra for it, but you pretty much have the park to yourself on weeknights.

Epcot has Holidays around the World. Customs from each country including Santa Claus are part of this. Last year, Illuminations had an extra addon at the end to celebrate. Also, the Candlelight Processional is worth seeing. I highly suggest doing the CP package which gives you lunch or dinner at a select Epcot restaurant then seating at the show. If you opt out of this, you may stand in long lines with no gaurantee of seeing the show.

MGM has a special parade and OsbourneSpecatacle of lights. This is a huge walk through light display that starts at night. It snows and Hot Choc. and cookies(I think) are given out. This is included with admission. It takes them 3 mos. to set up. Worth seeing!

AK has a special parade.

Again, Dec is a really special time to be in WDW.

Don't miss any of the Holiday parades. Osborne Lights are an absolute must see. Magic Kingdom, especially at night will dazzle you. Actually all of the resort lobbies are decorated. Wilderness Lodge really makes it feel like Christmas.

Christmas is also our favorite time to go to WDW. Our very favorite place is the beautiful atrium lobby at Wilderness Lodge! The whole place is gorgeous in an up-north sort of way. Only Disney can make a 7 floor atrium feel warm and cozy. Have a meal at the Whispering Canyon and you are in for a fun evening. After dinner listen to the local musical groups play christmas songs. (Ask conceirge for times.)

The Grand Floridian is also very beautiful.

ENJOY!!!

I am going for my first time at Christmas this year too...I would suggest you quickly decide where you would like to eat and call for ADR's asap...times are limited now. http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/Christmasdining.htm is the dining fro Christmas eve and Christmas Day...just to give you an idea...but the rest of the time the restaurants are back to their regular offerings.

We will check out all the resorts during one day.

Christmas at WDW is a very special time of year for all involved. CM and vacationers. If you are not in the Christmas mood after the first day then you must just not like Christmas.

Our favorite resorts to not miss are:
Swan and Dolphin
BWV
Grand Floridan and
WL

We also make sure you never pass up the Osborne Lights, MVMCP and the Candle light processional. The music at the Osborne Lights are great. I could stay there for hours upon hours.
