Hi y'all!

I will be making my first trip to DLP on May 18-19 as a side trip on the end of a Paris excursion with my Mom. Celebrating her 60th birthday! We'll come from Paris on the RER the morning of the 18th, drop our stuff at the Sequoia and head to the parks. We'll spend the 18th and 19th in the parks and both of those nights at the Sequoia; leaving from CDG the morning of the 20th.

I know from WDW experience that the right approach makes the difference between experiencing lots of attractions and standing in lines all day. I've done a few searches for touring plans for DLP, but have come up largely empty handed. I found 1 site with a plan for each park, but they were pretty outdated and didn't include the newer rides.

I'd love any advice from DLP experts: where to eat, what not to miss, etc.

Weekends are busier that mid-week so an early start and use of morning EMH will be key to getting the most out of your two days at the park:)
The park will shut at 7pm so eating after this in the Disney Village is another way to maximise park time :)

Have a look at the Stickies at the top of the boards. Lots of links to secrets and special things to look out for at DLP. Eg dragon underneath the castle :goodvibes

Ooooh exciting - Paris is supposed to be lovely in spring and the Park shouldn't be too busy.

The usual recommendation is that you make sure you do the attractions and rides which are unique to DLRP and the ones that are significantly different in DLRP.

So - the Castle is well worth an in-depth look, from the tapestries and stain glass windows upstairs to the animatronic dragon who lives in the dungeon.

Big Thunder Mountain is supposed to be vastly superior to other versions so you won't want to miss that. POTC is newer and laid out differently. Indiana Jones and Adventure Isle are unique, I think. Alice's Labyrinth is a one-off and Space Mountain is very different. In the Studios Crush's Coaster is worth a spin for those who like rides that leave them looking like this - :scared1:
TOT is brand new and must be visited. As well as trying all these, try to take time to explore all the little shortcuts and passageways - especially those linking Adventureland to Frontierland.

I'm sure others will have more detailed suggestions for you. I haven't been to WDW so I'm just going by what others have said.

Thanks for the answers!

I had already taken a peak at the 'Secrets' thread :surfweb: but couldn't get the links to pictures to work. I think the site was photosmagique.com - the links won't work and when I tried typing the address, it said site under construction. Any ideas for getting to those photos?

I am a roller coaster fiend through and through; my mom - not so much! I'll have to control myself a little so she doesn't get to feeling abandoned! Maybe I can keep her occupied in the shops (she's a shopper, me - not so much!) while I go up and down and round and round at high rates of speed!

Does the Castle get busy as the day unfolds, or would it be something to leave until after we hit the headliners?

The site owner does not appear to be updating these pages :sad1:
